This place isn't very fancy, but the steaks are the best we've ever had anywhere, seriously. The service was prompt and friendly, excellent wine and beer list, and yeast rolls that are a religious experience (served hot with honey on the side). Don't go anywhere else in Williams for steak when you've got this place. Yumm!!!

We were told that this was a "don't miss this steak house" place, but it is resting on its past laurels. Six of has had steak and while it was very good, it can be missed. The accompanying veggies were pretty tasteless. My T-bone steak was very good, but not worth the price. The rolls were good! Our server was... More

This was an average dining experience. The food was decent. The facility is quite dark. Loved the cow dishes! My kids loved the hamburger shaped like a steer and fish sticks shaped like fish. My stake was cooked very nicely and the prices were good. I would go back.

........are spot on re the food, one NY strip fine, one not and fried chicken scarily cold in the middle. Kitsch surroundings are OK in keeping with Route 66.

If it weren't for the hospitality I would give this place an even lower rating. However, the potatoes were good and so was the bread. Steak a little bland. Our servers were a delight; Really whooping it up with great kudos for the homemade items. It is a great landmark, the bathrooms were interesting and took me a ways back... More

Lots of advertising help getting patrons into Rod's but once there, most are dissapointed. Overpriced with small plane tasting steaks. Not high quality foor at all. Go next door to the Branding Iron Steakhouse, they are the ones that all locals agree have the best steaks, service and atmosphere.

My wife and i had dinner here. It was late April. The baked rolls looked overbaked with almost a char brown to black top. They did not look good at all . I had a T bone steak it was cooked to order, but was a very, very fatty cut. Almost 1/2 of it was fat and bone. Not the... More

A true historic landmark and wonderful story behind this place could not make make up for the gross canned green beans and the overcooked grisly, tough steak. The prime rib however, was divine along with the homemade roll and pies.

Really enjoyed this restaurant along Route 66 in Williams. A little bit pricey, but the prime rib and the steak my husband & I had, were done to perfection, and absolutely delicious. The sourdough dinner rolls were to die for!! We were there at a slow time of day and the service was prompt and very courteous. I highly recommend this nostalgic... More
