Stop in and try this on Friday. Unlike most catfish opportunities down south, you can get a couple of plate lunch veggies instead of the traditional slaw and fries. Also... farm raised catfish... Not some frozen stuff from Asia!

The service is good, and the food is decent. The atmosphere is a little weird--strange layout and kind of run down. I have gone for lunch, where their lunch specials are good.

The food is great, the place is cozy as in crowded, it is a smaller resturant, but didn't bother us. It is kinda part of the charm. There is no elevator so you must take the stairs or wait for a downstairs table. We loved the food, the location which cant be helped is on the downside.

If you're an area local, you know all about the White House, but if you're not, and don't know about it, you're missing something really good. Plate lunches Monday through Friday with great home cooking at bargain prices. If you're not looking for a plate lunch, the burger platter is best on the planet, and listen up... real potatoes in... 30 year ago, this was the place for me. We'd gather here, eat a good meal and perhaps go out for a few drinks, later. While that's still likely a good reason to visit, I've found the food quality has declined over the years. Camden has several wonderful Mexican restaurants, that I would choose over the WHC. The home cooking,... More

This place has seen better days and the waitstaff has seen better days also. I ordered a sprite and it tasted horrible. Dont know what was wrong with it but it did not taste like a sprite should taste. I ordered an appetizer that was so uninspired that i have forgotten what i ordered. No matter, it doesnt really matter.... More

If you are looking for something classy this is not your place. This is just good home cooking with a cafe atmosphere. Great service and cheap prices. Would go back any day

I've spent a 100+ nights in Camden on business and have been to pretty much every restaurant in town for dinner. The White House has always delivered good quality meals. Love the 6 and 8 oz ribeye steaks but the shredded iceberg lettuce salads are the only negative (recommend asking for a substitute veggie). I am from AZ and the... More

The food has always been something I could take or leave. But they do have a great selection of imported and domestic beers and that tempts the traveler to imbibe.

First of all, I am from NorCal and go to five star restaurants from SF to Napa Valley. I must say that "mama" and Theresa made us change our mind about the food and the people in Camden. They both went above and beyond ensuring we were served the best food as well as the best margaritas....I GUARANTEE that I... More
