Thick and rich, soft bread with yummy fillings and they do cake, vegan items (loved the muffins I got a friend) and the best Danish you can eat. I love this bakery. It can be crowded and that can slow down service but they are nice and the food is outstanding.

Some Crust is a Claremont favorite. Their egg sliders are famous and their baked goods are outrageous. Good coffee too. Unfortunately, the employees are consistently rude and pretentious. If you're not a stickler for service you'll love sitting in the sidewalk with your breakfast on a Sunday morning but don't expect much from the cashier.

I go here very often and it is the best bakery around. It is always busy so go early in the morning. The Yule logs during the holidays are the best ever.

I stopped by a couple of weeks in a row to handle some business in the Village. Their coffee is excellent; but the items in the case were not much to brag about. Perhpas, my expectations were set too high. A friend told me that I should try the croissants, which I did. I spent considerable time in France and... More

This place did a great job with a weird request on a birthday cake, and it was short notice so I was impressed with their timing and ability. Just another great place to take advantage of if near Claremont Village.

For years I've taken SC cookies on trips to northern California to my daughter's family. A favorite is the molasses. Always friendly service.

We walked in not really knowing what to expect. kind of old and dirty. There were 2 display cabinets with a few items - they all looked dried out & not very appealing. We couldn't figure out what they offered - just a small 'jewel' case where the register was with 2 shelves of baskets of cookies and a few... More

Although the wait can be long if it is busy (30-45 minutes, the egg sliders are great. And if you go on Sunday, you can take your coffee, go to the farmer's market and be back in time to pick up the sliders. The pastries are good, but I have never been tempted to pass up the sliders in the... More

If you like buttery pastries and some unusual presentations, this is one of the greatest. Warning: addictive. Even has space to sit down and enjoy the fare while doing your email. Their baking puts most other competitors in the Inland Empire to shame.

We took the advise of the student interviewer at McKenna College. We were happy we did. It was a quick, delicious, local feel restaurant with room for only about 12 people to sit and minimal outdoor seating. We took a seat at the counter and ate our hot chicken pesto panini on rosemary bread. The bread was not too thick.... More
