Terrific place for a special dinner. Also a lively bar scene. Great wine selection makes this a go to spot.
What a gem this place is. It is popular and filled up fast when we were there for dinner. Our meals were delicious and flavorful from salad through dessert. It was obvious a great deal of time and talent went into the preparation and presentation. Service is professional, informative, and fun making for a relaxing meal.
We came here on a whim and were very happy we did. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable. I would recommend it without any reservation and would return here in a heartbeat.
Terrible service from the wait staff and the manager. Ordered four meals only three came. When the others were finished the fourth meal came. About 20 minutews later. The waiter thought it was terrible that I didn't want the meal after everyone else was ready to go. The manager was just as terrible. She kept asking me if I wanted... More
Beyond subpar food, the service was atrocious. We waited over an hour while the ditzy high school hostess allowed her friends in before our party. The food came cold and undercooked. All of this I could see at a college restaurant, but this was in a nice area. There are plenty of better restaurants in the area. Don't bother.
This is an unusual but excellent place to eat. It's unusual in that it doubles as a wine shop as well as a restaurant. You can buy your wine in the shop at very reasonable prices, and then have it with your meal, paying only $5 corkage, or in some cases no corkage at all. And the food is excellent... More
I took my wife there for our wedding anniversary luncheon. We were seated immediately by a very pleasant girl who's name I wish I could remember. We were allowed ample time to peruse the menu and during that time our drinks order was taken. The young lady serving us certainly knew her wines and when it came time to order... More
When in Encinitas, this lovely place will not disappoint you. Upscale at a reasonable price. I recommend the cheese plate and if you like sea bass and they are serving it fresh...you will not find a better prep of this dish. Bar is a bit crowded, but I like to hang around and see if i can get a table... More
While shopping in a relatively nondescript strip mall, my sister and I became hungry and went to this restaurant in the early evening. We were going to grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine at the bar, but that compact area had every seat filled. To our surprise, we were immediately seated in the restaurant area, which... More
The food at this wine shop was really specially. I had a roast chicken with fabulous crispy skin and to die for veggies and gnocchi. It was served in a delicious broth and I wanted to lick the plate. The service was very good and the whole evening was worth the wait. The only draw back was that we were... More
