Huge choice of first-class burgers and unusually tasty french fries, coupled with friendly service. Unfortunately there is little variety on the menu. Notable exception: a tasty Greek chicken salad. Very good Happy Hour (in the bar, of course).

I have been to other Islands restaurants but it seemed to be more on the greasy side. This islands was not that way. Really good and tasty food. We will definitely go back to Islands again.

We ordered the Chicken tortilla soup again and it was supposed to be the endless bowl of soup. Well it takes 20-25 minutes to get the next bowl.. not really prompt service and wait staff is slow.....

I had only been to Islands a few times, but it is definitely disgusting. They have hamburgers, sandwiches, tacos, etc... The fries were overcooked and cold...it is just a trashy, cheap, run of the mill chain restaurant...avoid it at all costs.

We are loyal fans of Islands and have been so for 15 years. We live in Encinitas and go to this restaurant about once a week for either a meal or take out.
We also go to the Islands in Carlsbad (right off the #5 freeway @ Palomar Airport Rd) because I have a company nearby.
