Our meals were delicious, but way overpriced. The service was pretty slow (but maybe we were just starving and noticed it more). They make everything on site, from bread to gelato to pasta, and even a few of their own blends of soda (strawberry-chile, anyone? honey rosemary?). Still, $100 for dinner seems steep.

After walking along the coastal cliffs near Mendocino at sunset, we set out in search of a restaurant still open at 9:00pm. We weren't having much luck until we passed to Mendo Bistro in Ft. Bragg. Had never been there before, but it looked open.. until we got inside and found they had closed six minutes earlier. But we were... More

Fort Bragg is a convenient way point for us between home and parts of California. The last four trips, over as many years, have found us dining at the Mendo Bistro - for good reason. Don't expect extra quick service - this is a leisurely place and you should enjoy it. The menu includes fresh, house-made pasta and the interesting... More

Local owner and good food, fair prices, can choose from a variety of menu items in any combinations you like. Focus on fresh locally grown meats, vegetables and fruits. Good desserts also. Located in the top story of the Company Store, it has a great view. Good service and affordable prices.

We were very happy with this restaurant choice given the great food, and overall dining experience. The menu is extensive, and as an alternative, they offer multiple choices of meats, flavors and preparation styles to suit any special request. The wine list is extensive, and the option to have half glasses of wine is a nice way to sample the... More

Just find the bicycle shop in town and look up...there you'll find Mendo Bistro. The service was great; our waitress was really friendly and gave us ideas of things to do in town. My sister had short-ribs that were perfectly cooked, and my pork chop was yummy! And then came dessert - S'mores....handmade cinnamon-coated graham crackers filled with melted chocolate... More

Fresh fish and local wine. We had a pasta dish and fresh local fish, both were cooked perfectly. The Bink Sauvignon Blanc from a local winery was delicious! Good service, friendly waitstaff in a quaint setting. Offered a free glass of wine as they had a mix up with our bill (which they rectified) Would recommend!

This is one of our regular stops in Ft. Bragg. The location of the restaurant is unusual and we enjoy looking around the downstairs of the old building in which it is located. The restaurant itself is spacious and bright. Food is always excellent and the service was as well. An enjoyable evening every time.

Good service, but I wasn't very impressed with the food. The food was ok, but not what I was expecting for the price.

Large bleak upstairs dining room in a shared retail building. Food was quite good but service and presentation could be better. We would still probably go back.
