Arrived spot-on sunset for a fabulous view, - drinks at the bar first, given a superb front table shortly thereafter. My wife's chardonnay was fine, my own merlot very poor - a total of $32 = wow! The fish taco starter was nothing special, my wife's spaghetti/clams OK, and my own steak frites was pleasant enough, but not what your... More

The only thing I disliked was that it was a 45 min wait to sit SOLO on the upstairs terrace...so I chose to go to the main level and have lunch. The special was a halibut ceviche. OMG delish. It was served with tortilla chips, and I ate it for lunch with a side salad. It was a lot of... More

This place is ALWAYS busy ! I have been a few times and have always had to wait 5 mins for a table. The place is always buzzing with a vibrant energy, it is a really fun place to come for lunch. The rooftop terrace has glass walls and views out to the Ocean. It is beautiful!! The food has... More

I would've given this review top ratings if it wasn't for the pretentious hostess at the front door. While we had reservations, we were still asked to wait for a while after our reservation time, and couldn't help but catch the attitude she was giving to many of the other customers. Other than her, the food was delicious. Try the... More

After travelling 6 hours cross country we were famished but decided to wait 30 minutes for an outdoor table. The wait was worth it...we had the fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I preferred the shrimp. Service was excellent, views of the cove.

Had did here with a business colleague during a cool, gray stretch of weather in La Jolla. Despite the weather, the view up there and the FULL open air feel is amazing. Highly recommend a visit to George's upper deck outdoor dining area. The food, while not as amazing as the view, was very good and very fresh. The prices... More

A friend recommended George's - otherwise I'm not sure I would have ventured into this restaurant nor found their hidden roof-top deck (the Ocean Terrace)! We just squeezed in during the lunch crowd and were thankfully seated up against the building since there was a definite chill in the air. We overlooked the Pacific ocean watching the sun fight off... More

Love this place. We went for lunch and it was very relaxed and definitely not crowded. I have been there for dinner and found it very busy... lunch is a different story. Food was very good, service excellent, view superb.. At no point we were rushed. Price is very reasonable for lunch...
