The restaurant is a former cottage in Laguna Beach. One orders their meal at a counter, then the food is brought to your table. Seating is in the large and interesting garden behind the cottage, which is the real draw. The food is pretty ordinary -- salads, omelets, burgers, etc. There's also a shop with an interesting assortment decorative items.

We enjoyed the breakfast here-- well-prepared, affordable, and served in a lovely garden. The service was sufficient to get the breakfast to the table, and that's all we really needed. I did ask a few questions about the food that were met with blank incomprehension, but that was okay too. Good food, capably prepared, great location.

My wife and I stopped by there today and we were pleasantly surprised by all of the handcrafted goodies and household knick knacks. This is overpriced and you're not waited on, but you can sit amoungst a bunch of overpriced stuff that's being sold around you that you can buy at Cost Plus for a 1/4 of the price. It is one of my favorite breakfast spots. The food is yummy. Try ricotta pancakes, eggs Benedict or my daughters favorite French toast (cinnamon bread). The atmosphere is the best...garden with pepper trees, fountains, wind chimes, statues, etc.... If you enjoy a casual, unique and zen feeling while you eat, visit Madison.

First, it's eclectic! One has problems differentiating whether it's a home and garden store --- or restaurant. Lucky for you --- it's BOTH! Great garden bistro ambiance --- surrounded by bits and pieces of garden art peeking out from every nook and cranny. The food was FABULOUS! The service is OUTSTANDING!! Go and enjoy!!

The German apple pancake was unusual and delicious. The eggs Benedict terrific. Beautiful setting too. Go here!!

This was our best meal with a great breakfast in a really great setting of a garden within a store selling statues, lighting and anything you could imagine. GO!
