I was reading an article in Wine Spectator and discovered that this restaurant was near where we were going to be staying in Culver City. One half of the couple we were traveling with is a foodie. We're just winos. :-) So after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and Yelp and despite the outrageous price, we decided to eat there. Good... More

Was here on 12/29/12. The atmosphere was calm. Space between tables was roomy which allowed for conversation with your companions. Service was attentive although the servers were a bit untrained in how to serve the food. I noticed a server was struggling to place a dish to the right of a diner at the next table (she was standing by... More

This is what MichlinStar food is all about. Niki accomodates your every wish. Don't worry if one or more of your party has food allergies or likes. Niki is sweet and nothing is too much trouble. Her taste combinations are amazing. Some really good restaurants serve dishes that resemble each other. Not here. Every dish is it's own flavors. Here... More

My wife says its almost like Gordon Ramsey's in London (who's got 3 Michelin Stars) AND I can tell you that it is only a matter of time before Niki gets her stars! What's surprising to me is Wine Spectator know of them but my friends in the Rest. Biz here in town do not... The four of us did... More

http://www.n-naka.com/. Terrific restaurant. Serene, serious, and seriously delicious. As a fine dining restaurant it is easily in the top five in Los Angeles - the others being Melisse, Providence, and Urasawa. (okay, that's four, but that's my top tier). The food is a bit of contemporary european, Cal-French and of course, Japanese. The sommelier is skilled and charming, his selections... More

I recently enjoyed the 13 course tasting menu at N/Naka. This 3 plus hour journey was nothing short of a treat for all of the senses. This restaurant is small and seats about 20. The vast majority of items served come from the sea and many are raw. The quality and freshness was of the highest caliber. There was a... More

Ate at N/Naka for the first time, it was everything we imagined. Everything is super fresh, the chef grows lots of her vegetables and incorporates them in her dishes. i've never had uni so fresh and tasty ... it was amazing! we had the 9 course meal, wish we got the larger one because every course was different with extraordinary... First of all, let me say, the name is n/naka, not n/nako. And that the restaurant is in Los Angeles, not Culver City, but other than that... Upon arrival, we are warmly greeted and shown to our table. We were told by others that to enjoy the true skills and experience, we should order the modern Kaiseki menu, 13 courses... More
