Honestly the best food I have eaten at a restaurant. It is hard to beat this place. I don't think a restaurant can beat this location's service, flavor, and overall atmosphere. It was amazing!
All of the Black Bear Diners we have been too a good food at a reasonable price, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This location is near a hotel and not far from other places you may want to visit in the Madera, California area. All of the Black Bear Diners have cute gift items and their Dining Club rewards you... More
Black Bear Diners offer good food at a reasonable price at all of their locations. The one in Madera is nice and easily located to other places in town.
Whenever I see a Black Bear dinner I like to stop. The pies and cobblers are the best in my opinion. The service was great. If you are in the area, check it out!
We drove over from Fresno to have lunch at Black Bear Diner in Madera. Great choice, they are a busy place but we were seated within 10 minutes and food within 10 minutes. Their burgers are great! The place gave me a feel of being in the mountains. It was filled with decorations of bears, trees etc. They had a... More

My wife and I are on vacation near Yosemite. We stayed near this restaurant, so we decided to try it. We just wanted something light, so we both ordered a salad. Both salads were very good and I would recommend them to anyone who was just looking for something on the lighter side. The other meals we saw looked very... More
We chose this eatery because we were steps away. Not bad! Wine selection was kinda of lousy but who, gets wine at Black Bear Diner. Mashed potatoes were a hit and the staff was really nice.
It was truly a diner, if you want hamburger - it was good. A fresh salad or fruit - not so much. Atmosphere was good and portions were huge.

We don't have one in the 500K metro area where I live, but there are at least three within 30 miles. While I... More
