If you are in the Mariposa area you want to stop at The Charles Street Dinner House. We were recommended to eat here by the front desk at the Mariposa Lodge. First off, don't let the kitschy look of the place scare you away. You will be more than pleased with the food and the staff.
The food was beyond...

Had a great dinner here on a Thursday night in June. Located right in the middle of town, and was walking distance from our hotel. It is in a historic building from the 1920's, was busy, and small so expect a wait. Food was a bit pricy, but everything we had was very good and freshly prepared.
This restaurant was recommended by a couple we happened to run into on the street. We're glad we talked to them. We weren't super hungry so my wife had the steak salad, and I had two appetizers - the fruit plate and the potato skins. Bother were excellent, and the fruit and nut salad was the best I've ever had...

Charles St. Dinner House is a good restaurant. The food is good. The service is good. The ambiance is poor (can you say wood paneling throughout). Pricing is ok, if not a bit on the high side for the overall experience.
I had the rib eye which was good. My wife wanted the "fresh halibut special" but they were already...

We went here twice because we loved it so much! Everyone was super friendly and the food was very good!
Riding thru Yosemite & staying in Mariposa, CA a local recommended the restaurant. We liked the renovated 1880 house & the staff was attentive but did't expect such a great meal. It went like this when ordering the salad the waitress said they make their own dressing & so we went with it. Wow - really good. Along with the...

Such a small town and yet the have some great places to eat. This one should not be missed. The food was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and cozy with a menu for every taste. Easy walking distance from most hotels in the area.
Visiting Yosemite, staying in the little town of Mariposa for two nights. Ate at this restaurant the first night and then came back the next night! The four of us (baby boomers) enjoyed our meals, both nights. Out of the 7 different dishes (the guys got the same thing the second night), each was worthy of high praise. Prices are...

This place is BUSY because the food is DELICIOUS, so I highly recommend reservations. The restaurant is owned by the chef, and it's obvious that he takes pride in the food he creates. Everything is made from scratch. We had the mud pie for dessert which is to DIE DIE DIE for. We also ordered coconut prawns as an appetizer...
