This bakery is fantastic. The owner is from Alsace Loraine , he make te best quiche I have eaaten anywhere! In action, his pastries are fantastic...especially the almond croissant, desserts, Christmas cakes, Cookies ,etc.

Afternoon coffee and cakes were delicious and tied one over until a late dinner. The cakes were sweet and the coffee was fresh - just what the doctor ordered.

We typically have breakfast at Bechler (i.e. pastry and coffee/hot chocolate) every morning when in Monterey/Pacific Grove (approx. 2X/yr). Excellent AM type pastry + excellent European style baked goods. Lunch is a very, very nice selection of salads, sandwiches and soup. Never over-crowded. An outstanding choice

We came across this bakery by chance when we were looking for a place for coffee in the morning. It's so comfortable and homey, and the baked goods were delicious. I loved the sugar cubes they give you for your coffee, which they also sell in boxes. Highly recommended place.

I love the fresh pastries here. They don't take credit cards so make sure you have cash. They also make great cakes and are very creative with the work. You will not be dissappointed.

We all loved the potato chive soup. The pastries were almost too good...almost. Only cash - no plastic. We will be back.
