Great experience and great food right in the heart of downtown. Seating is limited and people line up to get in this place but its worth it! Just be prepared. Enjoy!

Great Mexican food. Their seafood dishes are outstanding. I like chunkier guacamole but te taste was wonderful. I've never been disappointed here.
The staff were all very friendly, and the decor & atmosphere pleasant. The food is very reasonably priced. My sister speaks Spanish and has had a lot of Mex/SWern food and she called it "authentic" (e.g. the tortillas, Spanish rice, black beans). All I know is it was delicious! I liked the fresh-squeezed lemonade too.

This was the best Mexican food that I've ever had in the States. Very authentic and incredibly delicious. The only thing that could have improved on the experience is a margarita (they make theirs with wine--I'm guessing they do not have a liquor license). Loved it!
I have always loved coming here until I tried the take-out this time. I stood watching the whole fiasco of the server (hair pulled back with small braid). This is a good place for a family meal. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table which makes ordering a bit faster than regular sit down places. The food was fresh and flavorful and the wait short.
Luckily I caught on that they charge for chips and salsa, but the food was served quickly so they weren't missed. It was a working lunch and I had good fish tacos. Compared to other restaurants in Montecito, this was reasonably priced.
For some reason, virtually all restaurants in Santa Barbara charge prices comparable to full-service restaurants in places like the Bay Area, yet offer no waiter service. Don't know what the cause of it is -- the high cost of employees and a desire to staff lower than a traditional restaurant, perhaps caused by California's anti-business climate including unrealistic minimum wage...

REALLY good enchiladas, tamales, tostadas, everything they make is outstanding. The salsa is great and there are several different kinds you can get. Specials every day, good atmosphere, try it out!
This small place is just off State St, making it conveniently located for a quick, delicious lunch option.
This is not a full service restaurant, it is more like a step up from being a hole in the wall. There are a few tables to sit but you order at the counter and get your own cutlery. The authentic,, delicious...
