This is a lovely italian restaurant with a terrific wine list, really very good food, and the worst sound control of anyplace i've been in a while...with a good crowd in there, you cannot hear yourself eat, which is a shame because everything else about the place is terrific. So bring your earplugs and enjoy the food, because when I've... More

Always enjoy the offerings here. The bread is so good and hard to resist. We sometimes save it for dessert! Wine list has some different choices which we really like. Never had a meal we did not really enjoy in three years. The salads are unique and feature local produce. The pizza crusts are perfect. The food has always pleased... More

As a native New Yorker I am always looking for an Italian restaurant that makes me think I'm still in N.Y. La Posta is a little gem hidden in the wonderful Santa Cruz neighborhood of Seabright. The menu is diverse and my husband and I never miss the opportunity to share a dish from each of the courses. The pizza... More

We have talked of going to La Posta for years. Finally made it about 2 weeks ago, and were extremely impressed with the Food, Service & Ambiance. My husband and I shared several plates so we could sample many of the delightful looking foods on the menu. Started with a citrus salad, Pork Cannelloni, Lamb Lasagnette, Panacotta, sample some of... So great to have this restaurant in the Seabright neighborhood. The food is delicious, interesting, for the most part, seasonal and local. The wait staff knows the menu and wines well. They are happy to give you taste of the wines by the glass to make sure you choose well. The bread, which is made in house, is really good,... More

Where you sit in this restaurant will impact your overall dining experience, because the piped-in music is too loud and other diners seem to want to share their conversations. The acoustics of the room are terrible, especially in the corners. This is one of those few restaurants where you' 're better off at a table in the middle of the... More

Ambiance is warm and inviting. I love their thin crusted pizza and the antipasto platter. The pasta are made on the premises and the offering changes nightly. They have a Wednesday night 3 course special that's a terrific deal

Parking (to the left of the building if you are facing the restaurant) is in the rear for free or on the street for a fee; service was OK and the food was very good. Check the menu before going as it can get eclectic and picky eaters will default to the 4 cheese pizza.

If you enjoy fresh, innovative Italian food in the Santa Cruz area, then you must dine at La Posta, on Seabright Ave. Amazingly fresh-tasting thin crust pizzas, good Italian wine, delightful desserts. A great little neighborhood gem. Best food in Santa Cruz. Tuesday evenings they have a great family special.

We chanced upon this place by accident on our way back from a day at Santa Cruz boardwalk. After a day of passing kiosks selling deep fried everything, this place was like a breath of fresh air. The menu on offer is not huge but then than that tells you that everything is freshly made. They made up a special... More
