A good place to visit. Doesn't look like much, but they are known for their burgers. If you go on a Wednesday...it is right across from the farmers market, so, can visit that also.
This place has been the standard for cheese burgers for years. Always good always consistent. The menu is not fancy or complicated just a great place for lunch.
I looked online for the best burgers in Santa Cruz and decided on trying Jack's and Surfrider. Surfrider is one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had and my brother agreed. Jack's was just a basic cheeseburger. Good but not great. Average french fries.
Everyone there is very nice. Restaurant is very efficient. Food is reasonably priced and very tasty.
Interesting place to people watch, food is average, patrons diverse and often entertaining. It's Santa Cruz....you get exactly what you would expect from downtown Santa Cruz...costumes....green hair.....lack of hygiene...not the staff so much...just the clientele...
Come try these simple backyard style burgers...nothing fancy but they are gooooood!! The fries were excellent too.
Hands down their double cheesburger was the best I have ever had!! The fries were thick and popping with flavor. If you are within a 20 mile radius of Santa Cruz you MUST stop by!

Home of the best fries, great burgers, and nice staff. Shakes aren't that great there, but their bugers and fries are wonderful. Limited indoor seating and several tables outside.
