It across the street from my favorite store SHOPPERS CORNER BEST PRODUCE AND MEATS IN SANTA CRUZ. I always order birthday cakes from the buttery and I buy my 3 seed bread. Great morning pastries and coffee.

Try the chocolate chip cookies...they are excellent!! They are located near downtown...great shopping in that area.

We bought cookies, cupcakes, mousse and tiramisuo. The tiramisuo was perfect!! The coffee and creamy flavors mixed together incredibly with sweet ladyfingers. the cookies were rich and flavorful. This bakery has pulled the wool over the eyes of Santa Cruz. They just don't know what good desserts are or salads. No comparison to San Francisco. Desserts way too sweet.

The food is excellent here! We were quite confused when we walked in. Not sure if we were to go right, go left, take a number or what. Stopped by for a casual dinner and dessert. Food was great, service was friendly, bakery/cafe were clean and nicely decorated. Dessert was fabulous! Will recommend to my family and friends!

Coffee was well done and quite good. Having eaten pastry all over Europe, we expected a light pastry and found this dough to be a bit heavier, but the croissants were delicious nonetheless. we love this little restaurant which is always busy. they have great salads, wonderful baked goods; soups - you name it. you can sit outside under umbrellas and it's just a very relaxed atmosphere. food is great and people even greater.
