We were a two mother-two daugher traveling group and had a great, once in a lifetime experience at the French Laundry. We enjoyed everything about the dinner, and every person who helped us with or served us our meal. As exquisite as the servings were, the atmosphere was relaxed and congenial. This was a special occasion for us and I... More

After flying from Bangkok to SFO and then to Napa Valley, we were looking forward to our 9:15pm booking at The French Laundry. On arrival, we were kept waiting for 15 minutes, but no bother as were we looking forward to the meal. The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere, close seating but comfortable. The menus were presented, water was poured... More

This was the culinary experience of a lifetime. We were treated like royalty from beginning to end, the staff was wonderful, a smile at every turn, very informative and so helpful in helping us choose the right wine for each course. The famous "oysters and pearls" was delicious, as was sautéed Hamachi, rabbit sirloin, and white sturgeon. Our captain, I... More

The food is just amazing, the wine list is never ending, and it an experience to have, once. Although we loved the experience, after 3 1/2 hours of dinner, we were ready to for the end. This is a place for serious foodies, lovely cavier dishes, interesting lamb preparations, fabulous pea soup.

I had lunch at The French Laundry on Saturday with three friends before attending Napa Valley's Bottle Rock festival. We should have gone straight to the festival. I won't go into all the details, but for credibility purposes, I've dined at Alinea, Eleven Madison Park, Daniel, Michael Mina, Charlie Trotters, Citronelle, Le Bernadin and lots of international foodie hot spots.... Thank goodness my friends really really loved it and thank goodness the triumphant reservation gods were on their side to get the dinner seating 2 months prior... But perhaps dining at the French Laundry should really be a one-time experience. It may be blasphemous to give such a review for this lovely, truly first-rate dining experience, and it is just... NOTHING to dislike. I chose the vegetarian menu, and had so many things in new and unique ways. Keller is an artist. I didn't realize having a meal take over 3 hours could be so enjoyable! Visiting with friends, tasting unique creations--amazing. The staff was expertly trained. They are passionate about what they do, from the food all the way... More

awesome as expected. There is nothing to not like except the price. The food, service, and wine pairings were all excellent.

It truly was the best (and most expensive) meal we have ever had! The service was spectacular! Very warm and friendly. We loved the kitchen tour as well. Every course was spectacular! They gave us little goodie bags to take home because we were way too full to enjoy the little chocolates and treats after dinner including a little extra... More

We had dined at Meadowood the night before and had a very disappointing experience so we came here worried that this too would not be good.It was wonderful! The warm greeting when we arrived, the fantastic service and the food.....every bite was delicious. The coffee was not so great as the Indonesian brand we had the night before but everything else...
