The staff was incredibly helpful since I’ve never been there before. They helped me build my own breakfast burrito! They were very quick it was delicious. And the place was immaculate!

Thank you for choosing to dine with us, and we’re glad to hear that your visit was a memorable one! We look forward to welcoming you back to the restaurant soon. Have a wonderful day, melissalO8252GM!
I order some smothered fries to go and in my house I was chewing and realized it was too hard and found out it was some nails. It was the worst experience I ever had, I used to love the smothered fries from there but...im never again buying there.More
Nefylpz, thank you for reaching out to us. Your feedback regarding your carry-out order has been shared with our concerned leadership team for follow-up.
How fun to see a local restaurant expand to dine in. I had a bean burrito- smothered deluxe. The beans were creamy and the green chili was spicy and flavorful.
Serving you is the real treat, sueblue7! Whenever you're looking to have another fantastic meal, we hope you think of us!
After reading the reviews and articles about how one must visit Chubby's when in Denver, this Chubby's not some other one, our visit did not disappoint. The chili was spicy and delicious over an amazing burrito with tomato and lettuce. It was big and I...could barely finish it. My daughter also had one and also loved every bite. I would have liked some sour cream with it, it was at the upper limit of my preference for spicy food but I would get one again. It was not too hot to ruin the flavor. The lady we talked to was super-friendly and helpful for us as first-timers with a few questions before ordering. My son and husband had burgers even though I told them they were visiting an institution famous for burritos, not burgers. I had a couple of their fries, they were great. We took our food to a nearby park because it was confusing, there was a sign that it was drive-thru only, but there were a few people sitting at the tables.More
Whenever you visit, Tiffany, we want every aspect of your meal to be amazing. There's so much on our menu to explore, and we would love to help you and your family discover even more menu options that will delight you. Thank you!
This is a convenient stop for Mexican to-go, just off of I-25 at 38th Street/Park Avenue. Made to order, customize with eggs, potatoes, various meet, and order "special' with chili and cheese. The eggs were fresh and fluffy, and the red chili a bit robust...for my taste, but I'm admittedly a wimp. Large servings.More
I've been eating here for 30+ years. We no longer live in Denver but when I return to visit relatives, I make my pilgrimage. First, this is not fine dining, or even authentic Mexican food. It is rib-sticking, spicy, soul food. The star dish is...a "smothered" burrito, which is swimming in very spicy-hot green chile sauce. I prefer the combo (beef and bean). The chile is orange in color from the addition of tomato, and it contains lard, but it is killer. You could dump this on an old shoe and it would taste good. The cheese is rumored to be cheap, processed American cheese, but I don't care. It works and adds to the gooey goodness. Service is terrible and there is normally a wait, but there is no substitute, as no one else in Denver makes this style. If you're wimpy and want a healthy meal, go elsewhere.More
Been going to Chubby's for years. It's seen its share of changes, but that chile thought, it's the stuff dreams are made of
Don’t go! Had a double hamburger and fries, the hamburger was terrible. One of the worst I have ever had. Two dried out patties and a couple of pickles, that was it! A McDonald’s macdouble is way better.
Been coming here for many years and cant get enough of it. Love their smothered fries and their breakfast burritos. Its a really busy place so be ready to wait for awhile but its worth the wait. I highly recommended this spot especially after a...night out at the bars it hits the spotMore
I highly recommend Chubby's! Greg is so professional with excellent customer service! Get the Mexican Burger and Smothered Fries! It's a kick in the tastebuds! Thank you Greg for your excellent customer service!
Look, don't bring a date here for a romantic dinner, but definitely bring that person you hooked up with at the club. Don't come here expecting table service, but definitely expect quality service. This was one of the best breakfast burrito's I've had since moving...out to Colorado. Great chili, excellent fat chunks of steak, well balanced. I mean, it was legitimately the best possible meal I could have at 2am after a night of dancing, and the service was insane. Dude at the counter was the absolute man. Greeted everyone with respect and backed his product, let us know it was gonna be fire, and even threw us a few soda's on the house for some caffeine for the ride home. I'm humbled by this spot. There is no other late night stop for grub in Denver for me anymore. This Original Chubby's was tried, tested, and found worthy.More
A good friend of mine who has lived in the Denver area longer than me absolutely raved about Chubby's on 38th and Lipan. First off, parking is impossible, there are 10-12 spots only and the side street (Lipan) is under construction, so it is a...pain in the butt to get there. Secondly, the layout is prohibitive, they have people in line intermingled with people who've already paid mixed with people who are getting drinks mixed with cashiers/expeditors all rolled in to one. For this being a newer location, it is a mess that only an industrial engineer could solve. The food is Mexican junk food, it is not really true Mexican food...think McDonald's, it is not close to being the best meat, hamburger, bun and most of what they have is average...Chubby's is a quasi-Mexican fast food joint that is neither fast nor authentic. The food, for what it is, is pretty good though. I had a Chicken burrito with spicy cheese and pico inside. There were no beans, no cilantro, no salsa choices...but decent.More
I have been going to this restaurant for 30 years...recently since it moved to the new location the wait times are horrific no matter what time of day. It took over 30 mins for food I called in after I arrived 45 from when I...ordered it. Then it was made wrong, I specifically asked for no chili as we have an allergy, it was made with chili, they claimed I didn't tell them even though it said right on my receipt, "plain", it took over 20 mins to remake 4 potato, egg, cheese burritos. When I opened them they had been remade again this time with a red chili, another 18 min to get them remade and they made them with bacon. I had now been 83 mins since I originally ordered and and over 65 mins from when i arrived for 4 simple burritos. We used to come into the old location when the line was out the door and have food in 20 mins, Ever since they expanded the location and moved next door I have never waited less then 45 min for my food. I miss the old chubby's, this did not get better with the new location, system or ordering, or staff. Grandma would be fuming if she knew how bad it is now,. She used to take care of us for years, and never once, even with the line outside the building, did I ever wait more then 20 for amazing eats made to what we ordered.More
Just drove by n stopped in for lunch. Real close to job site. Had a full park lot and line was long at counter. Waited maybe 8 min for our food. Chicken burrito smothered was delicious and good portion. Smothered fries looked great and got...thumbs up as well. Will be a go to place for me from now onMore
Visited family in Denver and decided to check out the old neighbor. Cubby's was still there in the same location for 50 years. Had a burrito and a side of green chili. Just like I remembered. Awesome food. Green chili perfect. What a treat to...go back and still awesome food and the same owners.More
