We visited the restaurant and what could I say. You need to go there. The food is amazing, good wine selection and pre-dinner drinks. We were served by Camila G., wonderful and best service we got during our trip, could not ask for more. She...is learning to be a sommelier, perfect educated jung woman - respect! The food we got, was amazing and would always be recommended by us, this was more than enough and very delicious!More
Terrible! First restaurant we have ever walked out on. We sat at out table for 15 minutes without a server coming up to us to ask us for drinks or not even a I will be with you guys in a minute. Felt like we...weren’t good enough to eat at this facility. Worst service and hospitality we have ever had in any Denver restaurants we have been to in all the years.More
This is a great once a while place amazing food and u get your money’s worth for the food great service
My friend and I were in Denver for the weekend and having dined at other Capital Grilles before, decided to try Denver's. What a mistake. I ordered my steak plain and stressed "nothing on it". It came slathered with butter. After sending it back, it...returned 5 minutes later having the butter burned off. I returned it and 40 minutes later it came back (done perfectly) but it was tasteless as was my friend's steak. The steaks were comped as we didn't get to eat together, but isn't eating together why you go out with friends? The service was formal (certainly not friendly). When looking for steak in Denver, give Capital Grille a pass.More
The staff went above and beyond to make our birthdays very special. Service and steaks were exceptional! And deserts are always fabulous !
We have a Capital Grille in Indianapolis where I live but I was out visiting friends in Denver and they wanted to go here. I went along with low expectations but was extremely impressed by both the meal and the service. We did the wine...flight pairing which was J Vineyard and Orin Swift which was all excellent. Would return here any time.More
Adorable.. staff are very welcoming and elegant. Place is highly arranged. Food taste is awesome. It was a nice night when we had dinner in The Capital Grille. My greetings to all the staff members 🥰🥰🥰
This was my first visit to a Capital Grille, but it won't be my last! I made reservations through Open Table and mentioned that we would be celebrating a birthday. Wow! The table had confetti, we were served glasses of champagne to start and a...dessert to close. The service was impeccable and our waiter was gracious. The chicken breast was AMAZING!!! It was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend.More
Lovely atmosphere inside, busy and cosy. Service was good, vert attentive. Food was expensive but nice. Steak very good, mash was very oily, too much cream or butter. Wouldn't rush back.
I was excited to give this restaurant a try while visiting our son and his roommate in Denver. In hindsight, I think I should have checked reviews on other steak restaurants in the area. Pros: Pretty location and warm, inviting restaurant decor. Excellent ribeye, veal...tomahawk, and lamb. Good sides of brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Cons: Waiter a bit snooty after I asked for a sweet wine. At a restaurant of this quality, I would have preferred to be brought a sample of their Riesling to try, as I didn’t care for it. It was not sweet. Waiter didn’t care if I liked or not. I asked him if he had a nice red Italian wine for our son (who has traveled to Italy extensively) and his roommate who also has. Thevwaiter did not discuss the wine at all with them, assumed because of my tastes and their age, that his decision would be best. They drank the wine, but neither of them particularly enjoyed it? Again, the waiter never asked or cared. At a restaurant of this caliber, one expects better service.More
There are several national steakhouse chains but my wife and I are convinced that The Capital Grille is best of all. Over the years, we have visited more than a dozen locations from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to Salt Lake City to Phoenix to...Denver to Kansas City to Clayton to Chicago (four) to Milwaukee to Indianapolis to Washington DC to Boston to Tampa to Sarasota. And we've never been disappointed. This was our third visit to the Capital Grille in Denver. Located at 1450 Larimer Street in Denver's historic Larimer Square, this upscale restaurant offers classic American fare in a clubby, refined setting. Open from 11 to 10 Monday through Friday, 4 to 10 on Saturday and 4 to 9 on Sunday, it offers a delicious variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts that always keeps you coming back for more. We started with shrimp cocktail, bowls of New England clam chowder and lobster bisque and a Caesar salad with Grana Padano croutons. For an entree, my wife chose a pan seared sea bass with miso butter shiitake mushrooms, asparagus and Sam's mashed potatoes. I indulged in a 14-ounce dry aged New York strip steak with au gratin potatoes and roasted wild mushrooms. For dessert, we shared large slices of coconut cream pie and Capital Grille's signature cheesecake with berries.More
Had a group business dinner here and everything was phenomenal! We had Bonnie and I believe Stephen as our servers and they were top notch! They recommended The Last Word drink and boy was it yummy! The crab and lobster cakes for our appetizer were...SO good! Field green salad was so fresh and yummy! Sea bass for my entree was the best I ever had! Lobster Mac and cheese,OMG! The crème brûlée was sinfully delicious! Highly recommend eating here!More
We were visiting Denver and early on in the trip we stopped here for lunch outside. We had such a delightful time, good food and such outstanding service. At the end of our trip we stopped in once again for lunch outside and had good...food, great ambiance, and an outstanding server. Both times, the women who served us were an instrumental part of what made our lunch so great. They were attentive, cordial, helpful and friendly. Not very often would I say the server made the experience special, but that was the case at Larimer Square Capital Grille.More
Very classy, from the waiters to the food presentation. We ordered soup, salad, and entrée and dessert and everything was perfect. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, delicious. The waiter was very informative and helpful but not too much. We will be returning and would...highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful experience.More
