Description: Jay's Bistro is a locally owned business started in 1980 by Jay Witlen with his wife and partner, Jacki. From humble beginnings through the evolution of Jay's Bistro and Jazz Lounge, Jay's entrepreneurial spirit combined with Jacki's encouragement have inspired them to achieve and maintain the perfect mix of hospitality, entertainment and cuisine in their bistro for the past 28 years. The combination of personally run business and swanky atmosphere, fine tuned by a professional kitchen and service staff creates their recipe for success. Their mission was and is to do this and have fun along the way doing it! "Life is good when you share bountiful things," says Jay.

Excellent food and great service! Best calamari and baked brie, and the clams were so fresh. Great place for groups because of excellent wait staff. There were 18 of us and the service was so smooth!

I was really surprised by the quality of the food and blown away by the jazz. The service was great, everyone was friendly. The meal was the best I had in a week at Fort Collins. The biggest surprise was the music. It started with just a piano player and ended up with two stand-up sax players, three different singers,... More

We are anticipating a move to Ft. Collins and invited some friends who live there to be our guests for dinner and to pick out a first class restaurant for dinner. They picked Jay's Bistro, we were glad they did as we had not heard of it yet. Our dinner was exceptional from the moment we arrived for our reservation,... More

Polite hostess, excellent waiter, stellar service, and really wonderful tasting food. From lobster bisque to shrimp bisque to mouth watering entrees. Desert was delicious. AMbience was calm, comfortable, and enjoyable. Would certainly go back.

We held a business dinner for 10 last week. They put us in a private room (it was big enough for twice as many people but we had it to ourselves). That worked out well as we could talk pretty freely about work. The waitress was friendly but not very attentive. She'd disappear for long periods of time which was... More

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a few months and we finally did last Saturday night. The ambiance was nice, great music and awesome food! I had the sea bass, my husband had the mix grill and both were wonderful! We took our son and his wife, and both had wonderful meals. The only negative was a... More

Jay's did a decent job with brunch. Very nice lamb, good ham, nice selection of salads and a small but filling selection of desserts. The highlights were a variety of eggs cooked to order and the blueberry bread pudding. Service was prompt and friendly. All in all a good option if you are looking for a brunch location.

Terrible food for VERY expensive prices, that was our experience at Jay's Bistro last weekend. The place has a great ambiance and nice Wine list, but our dinner was horrible. We both ordered the Spanish Paella, It looked and tasted like white rice swimming in can chicken broth...with small pieces of chicken in it. There were about 4 mussels, 2... More

Such great food, always classy and well made. Really like the lamb chops. Have gone here for an anniversary, when relatives were in town, and then on New Year's. Very fun!
