After a disappointing visit, I thought I wouldn't go back to South China. But an undeniable craving for hot and sour soup made me reconsider. Reviews have raved about theirs, and so I had to try it. I'm so glad I did! I opted for upgrading to the large bowl for $5 with my lunch special. My bowl was HUGE... More

love the menu, food is great, service is great. Been around a long time, and of what's left in FC, it's one of the better places.

I was told South China was great even though online reviews are mixed. Tried it with my husband and two other friends, and we were all really disappointed. Our to-go order took over an hour (on a Monday night) and the only redeeming part of the meal was the crab and cream cheese wontons. All the chicken dishes were mediocre... More

Ribs chewy, and too much sauce, and sweet sickly tasting. Egg drop soup not up to par, gooey noodles, and too many no vegetables. Asked for no heat in the sesame chicken, it was very spicy. Would not order from there again, our first and last time.

This is kind of a hole in the wall Chinese place. The prices are awesome, and the selection is great. There were 3 of us who went, 2 got vegetarian/tofu, and one got chicken. All of us enjoyed our entrees, and the accompanying soup, eggrolls, etc. Nothing fancy, but a solid performer, if you're not looking for a formal dining... More

After reading the rave reviews I arrived at the restaurant with my hopes up, but came away disappointed. The restaurant is clean and the service is ok, BUT the food was a major let down. Out of the four items I ordered (appetizer, chicken wonton soup, crispy duck and white rice) only the white rice came out right. The wor... More

One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that it uses WHITE meat chicken and it is always good; no hard bits or questionable bits! Egg drop soup is yummy! I always get the chicken lo mein or chicken fried rice and my husband gets the szuwan beef...always yummy! As some of the other reviews have stated service is... More

We've been going to South China (mostly for lunch) for many many years. The hot-and-sour soup is absolutely the best I've ever had (even compared to San Fran Chinatown). The soup is a bit less beef broth and has a bit more vinegar, for a superb bite and kick. Ming (the chef) generally makes sauces that are bit more sticky/thick/sweet... More

My husband and I have been going to South China for years now. They are hands-down the best Chinese food in Fort Collins! We've tried the rest, and always come back to the best. Never had a problem with service either, even during the busy times. My husband would crawl a mile for their hot and sour soup, and I'd... More

Sesame chicken was very good. It was made from white meat. The menu indicated that is was spicy hot, but I only found it to be mildly spicy and I live in the land of bland food. The Wor Wanton soup was not what was expected. It had a lot of sliced mushrooms and shrimp. The egg rolls seemed to... More
