We visited ALL of the Grand Lake ice cream shops (Mayuchi's, Grand Lake Chocolates, Polly's and Dairy King) and Polly's was right up there with Grand Lake Chocolates (which has the most amazing caramel apples ever). If you've been to Hawaii, Polly's label of "shaved ice" is a bit of a misnomer, but it's a fine snow cone and they... More

Wonderful ice cream in an amazing variety flavors. Also very nice selection of candies, fudge for those of us who like to add the pounds without ice cream headache.

The ice cream cones are delicious, the candy was wonderful, and the people that work there were so friendly. We have come back here everytime we have been up in Grand Lake and we love it. It is a great place to wind up a day in Grand Lake, I cannot recommend stopping by here enough!

You know you have seen them, the blank eyed tourists eating ice cream and occasionally wandering into traffic? In Estes , or Nedderland, or Vail, they are in every tourist town. Small and not really staffed so you may have to wait but the candy and ice cream can't be beat! They don;t make their own fudge and caramels anymore, so that is a bit of a disappointment, but still a family owned and run shop which I like to support.

The people that run the place are so nice! We usually do the adams falls hike and then go to Pollys. They always try to accomadate the whole family. Birthday cake ice cream cones for the kids. Popcorn and sugar free candy and ice cream. Snow cones and good old fashioned ice water. Perfect place to end an afternoon!
