We met some of our Family up in Colorado Springs over the weekend. Family was looking for an Applebees or similar chain restaurant. I was having no part of that. While on travel go explore otherwise what is the point. Our wi-fi connection was down, but we had a local guide book. Wanting to get closer to the hills I... More

It was mother's Day night. The evening was delightful. Service was perfect, the view from the porch spectacular and the venison superb. Everything from the greeting at the door to perfect attention from our server was what you would expect from a restaurant like the Cliff House. My son had been here before with his Dad and both raved about... More

I have been to Dinner and a Wedding at Craftwood Inn.. Went last saturday night with my husband. Was seated next to a very loud room and pretty much forgotten for a while. Except the Bus Boy serving use tons of water. The appetizer was just so-so and i had the Rocky Mountain Elk which was cooked perfect but very... More

Excellent and unique food. Romantic atmosphere. Ostrich steak was the best. Loved the sorbet. Worth the splurge.

We were seated by the window so we had a nice little view from our table. But our table is also crammed in the room with several other tables and you are able to hear every conversation going on in that dining area. We ended up getting to know the people at the two other tables that were beside ours.... More

Sumptuous preparations, particularly game meat. I had the game sampler, though pricey, was delicately and expertly prepared. Wide ranging wine list and knowledgeable server. Warm, cozy atmosphere. We went on jan 9 so it was not busy and we had a lovely table adjacent to the old fireplace. Highly recommend as a special treat.

Our first experience here was more like 4.5*, but I decided to round up! Can't believe it took me this long to dine here. I had a Groupon for a 4-course meal for two, and Craftwood Inn had no problems honoring it. I half-expected our server to make a disdainful face when we pulled out the Groupon, but instead he... A wonderful location but, once seated, it was more than a bit noisy. The menu was unique, with wild game taking center stage. Overall my group of four diners was disappointed by the preparation of the dishes, finding sauces necessary to rescue the dry wild meats such as Deer and Antelope. The Bison Short Ribs were well-prepared but were underwhelming,... More

This is a unique dining experience. We recently dinned with friends and I thought that the appetizers were really skimpy . We ordered the large sizes for our group and I was really astonished how small they were for our group. The food was OK but this restaurant would not get on my "A go to" list of restaurants. Considering... More
