Tried to have brunch there today at 11:50 AM, and after waiting 50 minutes for our food to arrive we walked out. We asked the waitstaff to check on our order several times and all we got was were sorry but the kitchen got backed up early and hasn't caught up. If we knew that when we sat down we... More

We had lunch here and enjoyed it very much. The shoestring fries were exactly how I like them, crisp with a little salt, and my fish sandwich was wonderful. The service was good, too. A local told us it is dependably good all the time. We will eat here again.

Laughing Ladies has a wonderful, comfortable atmosphere and a very friendly waitstaff. The food is absolutely incredible! They make their own breads fresh daily and every dish is perfectly preparered, served hot, and not like anything else. Since it was brunch, and St. Patrick's Day, I also ordered a bloody Mary made with bacon vodka, and asked for a strip... More

They use a rub on it and it was very different. The atmosphere is homey but classy for this wonderful small town. Close walk from the Salida Hotel which was perfect too!

The service was lacking - we sat at the front of the restaurant for at least 8 awkward minutes before someone finally sat us. It took a while to get our food, but the food was good. Coffee refills were hard to come by.

We have supper at Laughing Ladies nearly every time we visit Salida. On our most recent visit, my wife and I both had the same appetizer we order every time: the Poblano Relleno with cheddar grits and sweet tomato salsa. It sounds simple but the flavors are complex. And we also both ordered the Honey & Red Chile Pork Chop... More

It's hard to get any better than an old historic building, friendly service, great menu and experienced talent in the Kitchen, and reasonable prices--except that it does--Nice wine selection. Maybe need a Special Rioja by the Glass, though. But the Malbec was great. Thanks, we will be back it is was the first time for our local daughter.

We had lunch there and had the grillled salmon sandwich. It was so good, we made reservations for an evening meal. One of us had the grilled salmon special, and I had the snapper special. Sauces and accompaniments were great. The kitchen staff definitely know what they are doing. Amazing to find such quality seafood in central Colorado.

The staff at Laughing Ladies always has a great menu. My wife and I look forward to our dining experience there whenever we are in town. The service is nearly always top notch. Wine selection is short but high quality. Gourmet food in Salida is pretty tough to find but these folks have it all. Can't wait to get back... More

Great food, cute setting. Would definitely go back. The eggs benedict came in about five different ways. I hear dinner there is excellent too. Service was a slow but they were busy.
