We had dinner here during our stay in Steamboat Springs, the food was excellent quality and the service was top notch. Excellent value for money.

The ore house is actually in an old barn which we all loved, very unique. They have horseshoes hanging up to hang your jackets on which totally fits the feel of the restaurant. The food is delicious. Our group ordered everything from Alaskan King Crab to Steak and everyone was satisfied. It is definitely a little more pricey than some... More

We love the trout dinner at the Ore House. The servers are friendly and fun, while still being attentive. The food has been the most consistently good (of all the town's restaurants) for many years, so it's our favorite family dining experience. Especially in the summer, when you can eat outdoors, we highly recommend a visit to the Ore House... More

Ore house is a great place to bring the family after a big day on the mountain. The historic barn setting is rustic and friendly. Delicious cinnamon rolls and bread are brought to the table when you go to the very well stocked salad bar. The salad bar has fresh and varietal offerings. Fish and steaks are wonderful. Servers and... More

Not the fanciest of Steakhouses. But simply a great meal. Well executed and tasty. They handle groups well.

Service was good and food was excellent. I had the prime rib and my wife had the trout and both were very good. We were seated near the fireplace with views thru the windows so we could watch the snow. Prices were a bit high but typical for the better restaurants in Steamboat. Great salad bar as well - took... The restaurant is old old old and the food is not highly styled or remotely organic but it is hearty American Western dining in the classic sense.

Our server was very prompt and polite, however, the food was mediocre. The crabcakes were tiny and the sauce was bland. The filet tasted burnt and the bernaise was also tasteless. There are many restaurants in the area that have WAY BETTER food for half the price.

We ate here on the recommendation from a local after we had asked about a good steakhouse. "Best steak in town..." is what we were told. I sure hope that is not the case. We called and got a reservation since there was a group of 12. No one answered so my wife left a message. And hour later or... More
