...which wasn't that great anyway. Neighborhood Italian food. Desultory service. Dim (not romantically dim) lighting. The place was, not surprisingly, empty. Will not go back.

We stopped for dinner at La Stanza after trying to have an evening at the beach, but the beach restaurant was jammed and the band was tuning up promising an assault on my senses, and an ear ache if not a spinal tap. Even though La Stanza was not our first choice, it proved to be a good choice. Full...

We have be going to La Stanza since it first open on McCall st. Back then owner cared about service and quality. Tonight was the worst ever, drink was terrible, service was uncaring, salad was a pile of wilted lettuce with one quaretr of a tomato. I could go on but I do not have the ambition after I had...

Our party of six was very pleased with the entrees (Veal Oscar, Filet Mignon, Manicotti, and Veal Marsella). The salad was pleasing, but the bread could have been better. The service was very good.
Nice atmosphere with good italian food. Full bar, with daily specials and early bird deals. Worth the drive to Englewood.

The dinners were served with a fresh...

While waiting for food, we asked the waitress if there was a problem with our order, she was curt and unhelpful. Food arrived luke warm and not what we ordered. Choose another...

Not sure why this place is not rated higher. Four of us tried the Sunday Brunch and it was so good and also top value at $ 11.95 each. We all had tasty omelettes from the omelette station plus salad, parmesan crusted chicken, grouper fish filets, corn beef hash, bacon, sausages etc.
The wine list is extensive and house wines...

Eight of our family members enjoyed good food and service. The restaurant is conveniently located on Dearborn Street in downtown Englewood.
