We were only in Ft. Lauderdale for one evening before heading out on a cruise and everywhere was mobbed as it was a Spring Break week. After cocktails and sliders at the G&B bar, we had dinner in the Coconuts dining room and could not pass on the fish tacos after reading all the wonderful reviews. Although the restaurant was... After reading the great reviews husband and I went to cocconuts. The scenery on the water was beautiful, the service was excellent, but the food was disappointing. The appetizers were salty and greasy ..husband requested extra bread, and at the end of the meals we were charged for it!!!! The tuesday special was over salted, and had an odd flavor. Will... More

This place was very busy....you can tell that many locals dine here. We had dinner here on a Monday evening, arrived around 7:30 and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. We were seated outside on the deck, nice table. We order an appetizer and dinner. While we were only halfway thru our appetizer the server brought our... More

Went here based on other reviews and looking for a good place to eat with family. I would rate this as average overall. For the price I would say not worth the effort. Service was excellent but toward end of meal we were rushed for our table. Spots seems popular so I will try again.

Ate here based on reviews, but we were completely unimpressed. The food was the biggest disappointment. I had the lobster roll and it really wasn't good. It's messy so I used my fork/knife to cut it. The bread was rock hard, so I skipped it. Would have been better served on lettuce or in a wrap. Husbands was okay. Conch... More

We had a romantic lunch on the water. From the Stone crabs to the "best ice cream sandwich" ever the afternoon was perfect. Really attentive wait staff! Wine list complinents menu and specials. Private valet parking lot is a real plus!

Came here for dinner before we set out on a cruise around 5 on a Friday. Location: really cool. Sits on the intercostal waterway so it makes for a serene setting with an upbeat atmosphere. Oh & parking sucked. We lucked out but they only had valet parking. Food: not what we were hoping for. My hubby's halibut was grilled... More

Amazing views at this restaurant. Parking situation is difficult once it gets crowded. Long lines. Decent food. Nice selection. Good Happy Hour. That about sums up every other decent South Florida restaurant. But my husband and I enjoy coming to this restaurant simply for the view especially during the sunsets..

Just south of the Swimming Hall of Fame. Complimentary Valet Parking - a good thing. Monday/Tuesday 1/2 price wine bottles - very crowded on those days. Small plates & entrees: Crack & Peel Shrimp - a generous portion. Oysters On 1/2 Shell - excellent. Coconut Shrimp - just okay. Happy hour 1/2 off on 5 or 6 standard appetizers, but... More

I went to Coconuts three times in two days. We walked from our hotel and had a wonderful experience for happy hour. We enjoyed half- price appetizers from 4:00 - 6:00. We had steamed shrimp which were the biggest and best shrimp I have ever had. We also had grilled wings, they were delicious. We loved them so much we... More
