Chances are owner/executive chef Andy Fass will greet you at the door, then drop by your table later in the evening to chat. He makes every guest feel special. Cocktails are crafted with a master's touch, the wine list is comprehensive and fairly priced, the waitstaff efficient and attentive, and the food is as good as Italian gets. Both grouper... More

I love the food and the atmosphere. This is definitely a place for those very special occasions. I could to afford to go too often but always look forward to it when we do go.

We went for our anniversary and I appreciated that multiple employees made a point of congratulating us. The personal attention from the chef was cool. That atmosphere is simple but nice, a though to place emphasis on the food and guests. My mancotti was very good and my wife's pasta with capers was delicious, the best vegan dish I have... More

I had the task of planning the rehearsal dinner for 30 people in Gainesville. As I live in San Diego, I read many posts and decided that Amelia's was one of the best restaurants in Gainesville. Now that the dinner is complete, I can say - it really is the best restaurant in Gainesville!! We had a party of 30... More

This Italian restaurant has a private room which easily accommodated 26 guests. Chef Andy was more than willing to work out a menu for 19 adults and 7 children. Servers were over the top in attending to our requests. The food was absolutely superb. Most had the Veal Piccata and Chicken Posa Posa. I like that the 3 appetizers were... More

Since we were just passing through, and since we were looking for a restaurant with outdoor seating , so we could take our two small dogs with us, I looked online for such a place. Luckily we found Amelia's, we were seated outside, as we requested, a super nice server ( Becca) took our order and made some very good... More

We just came from Amelia's. Amelia's was the restaurant my husband took me for our first date 5 years ago so we always remember it fondly. We are visiting GNV and of course decided to go back. I had a small fear that maybe, just maybe, it was not as good as I thought it was 5 years ago. Well,... More

On a cross country trip, we found the best restaurant of our trip. The dining room was simple but elegant with starched white tablecloths and napkins. It was early on a rainy Sunday afternoon and we were immediately seated. The wait staff was clearly professional and knowledgeable about menu choices and gave us great suggestions. Our server was was friendly... More

Our Investment Club held their annual dinner meeting at this restaurant. It was a pleasant evening so we sat outside overlooking a plaza. Very nice. We ordered appetizers and drinks and never felt rushed or like we were being ignored. Our dinners came and were delicious and the service was excellent. We talked about it for several months after and... More
