This is your run of the mill big menu, casual atmosphere simple place to eat. Great for breakfast and lunch. Not a wallet buster.

Coffe never got cold or empty, very attentive and fast service. But food...nothing special. Had the granola & banana pancakes - large pieces of Nature Valley granola bars were the granola in the pancakes. Omlette was fluffy and good, great mix of veggies and cheese.

We always come here at least once or twice when we are in Longboat Key. I love the omelettes and the specialty pancakes. The service is always friendly and the portions are huge. Either location is great, same menu, same good service, but the one on LBK tends to have less of a wait.

The Blue Dolphin Cafe on Longboat Key, FL is open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is clean and well lit in the Centre Shops shopping plaza. The Blue Dolphin is the best place for breakfast. Located in the Centre Shops this is really a busy place at breakfast time. Great pancake and egg dishes.

Went for breakfast and enjoyed good, friendly service. Food was good but nothing unique or supereconomical. Ask for the real maple syrup:-)

Friday nights they feature lobster or prime rib deals which are worth making a trip for. Quality and value very good. Servers are very friendly. This is and has the ambience of a cafe. They can be very busy.
