My husband and I spent our anniversary in South Beach. He loves mofongo and a local friend told us about Jimmy'z kitchen. We drove by it twice and almost gave up on finding it. But thank goodness we didn't. The restaurant is small but we sat outside the weather the beautiful. The churassco chimichurri was a big enough portion for...

Food is good but atmosphere is horrible. There are about 5 small tables inside and a few outside facing the parking lot. Steak sandwich, grilled veggie sandwich, and tuna salad were all fine. This place is fine for takeout, but certainly not conducive for dining.
This is a cool and unique little restaurant in Miami Beach very near all the action of Lincoln Road. The food was great, though the atmosphere is a little "bleh." Not much to this place, but the price was right and the food was terrific!
I had a Cubano sandwich there this week for lunch. As mentioned by other travelers, it took a while to get the food, but the service was very personable and attentive. Maybe if I'd ordered something fancier, I'd have been more impressed, but from my experience, I wouldn't do the half-hour wait (or more) for what I ate. Sorry. :(
With a lack of atmosphere and little crowded tables, I wasn't expecting much. The tomato and avocado salad was a wonderful surprise as was a pork main dish. The price was reasonable and I would definitely make a return visit.
Small and uncomfortable. Small plastics chairs around small tables. No waiters, you order at the counter. No bread, no water, no ice. No beer no wine! Mostly warm diet Snapple to choose from to drink, which you have to get up and take from the fridge. Ordered the Mofongo, allegedly the best in Miami, dry and tasteless.
Just a few tables, but the food was abundant and flavourful. Jimmy is a very pleasant and welcoming host, and despite our worries about finding a table, he was right- by the time our order was ready a table became available.
I wish I would have been more hungry at the time- I would have tried the churasco with chimichurri...

We were staying south of 5th so a real good walk to get there but well worth it. Just south of Lincoln road on Alton street in a strip plaza. Very small place as it sits...

Found this local spot off the beaten path. Jimmy'z thats right with a Z is tucked away but just within walking distance of Lincoln Road. Meals are fresh not frozen, so you do have to wait but boy was the wait worthwhile. They serve everything from salads to entrees. You must try their Mofongo truly the best so far, served...
