We are a week into our holiday as I write, and had so far been fairly underwhelmed by the food on 5th avenue. We had already bought some fantastic cheesecake from the European Bakery, but decided to have dinner there tonight. What a lovely experience. From the friendly husband and wife team, the interesting surroundings, and some great food, it... More

My girlfriend and I ate here today for the first time, and it was awesome. The pierogi were fantastic, and the parmesan dressing on the salad was also delicious. Be sure to try the cheesecake! We will definitely go there to eat again.

This place was a bit of a hole in the wall and easy to pass by. We went because we were looking for something central European. Turns out the owner is Polish. He had traditional Polish food on the menu that was excellent. I had the Bigos (even my kids loved them when they tried them) and my husband had... More

Was invited by a friend during a recent vacation. Like it so much, went back a second time. It is truly home made, authentic Polish food. If you have never had Polish food, this place is a great intro. If you eat polish food regularly (my wife is polish), you'll love it!

Interesting place. Friendly owners and everything is made fresh. Food was ok but not outstanding. All dinners are about $20 and it is cash only. Maybe breakfast would better choice.

This restraint has my vote. It's authentic and the owners are very nice. The wife does the cooking an everyone's looked and tasted home made. It was def good.. The pierogi was amazing and the goulash was too! Try this

If you are looking for Polish dishes and my favorite part: sweets I recommend the European Bakery and Café. I’m very picky if it comes to sweets but Mrs. Marta makes the most delightful and amazing chocolate & cheese muffins EVER, my nephew is hooked on her cheesecake and my mom in law loves her homemade bread…so as you see... European Bakery and Café has it all. Delicious homemade food (my favorites are the Hunter's stew, stuffed cabbage and pierogi's), out of this world pastries, homemade bread and great coffee and tea. The atmosphere is very relaxing with charming décor and good music. The owners Marta and Hubert make you feel like at home the minute you walk in. But... More

We were excited to finally visit the European Bakery and Cafe after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. We stopped in for an early lunch and were greeted by the owners Martha and Hubert. The interior is charming and makes you feel as though you have stepped into a cafe in the middle of Eastern Europe. Martha described each of the... More
