Visiting the beautiful St Augustine and finally tried the Purple Olive restaraunt and what a great meal I had and the service was also outstanding.wouldn't think much from the outside but what a great treat once the food came .once again another great restaraunt in beautiful St Augustine Florida

Food selection was unusual was exceptionally good. Expresso rub Gorgonzola pork loin with carmelized onions with mash potatoes and vegetables!! I had the Ahi blackened with a mild ginger sauce! Both of us had the fresh tomato basil soup which was served just perfectly and at the right temperature. Off the beaten path but definitely worth the drive.

The location is a bit remote but once you are in the restaurant, the ambiance is quaint. We were served quickly. Our meals were hot and the dishes that we choose contained plenty of seafood. The freshest ingrediants (seafood) and the tastest ingrediants. The staff is attentive and knowledgable. Top it all off with large portions and reasonable pricing and you've got a winner.

This is by far the best restaurant on the island. Tucked away in a corner of a strip center, don't overlook The Purple Olive. Eat here once and you'll not go back to the big chain restaurants...food, service, atmoshpere are top notch. As i'm writing this, it just occured to me....it's dinner time....off to the Olive.

Have eaten at the Purple Olive several times, always between 5:00 and 6:30 for the early bird special. The food is very, very good. We ate here for dinner. We arrived between 5 and 6:30 pm to take advantage of the early bird menu. Prices were very reasonable and food was good. Service was excellent. They do have priority seating available via their website with 24 hour notice.
