Loved the attentive service, excellent classic menu and the historic dining room. Marchand's deserves its rave reviews.

The french toast is to die for. Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel. Only had breakfast so don't know how dinner menu is. Service just so-so but the french toast made up for that!

This is the main restaurant of the Renaissance Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg. There was a wait for a table but we were willing to sit at the bar. The breakfast is a choice of a buffet or from a menu. We were in a hurry and chose the buffet. It had an omelet station and the cook was very... More

Went here with 2 other couples to celebrate 2 birthdays. The food and cocktails were excellent and the service impeccable. They even have a gluten free menu and my gluten free meal was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their meal. It is pricey, certainly not a place I would frequent but for a special occasion it was perfect.

Marchand's Bar & Grill is the main restaurant in the Vinoy Renaisance Resort in downtown St. Petersburg, FL. It is in an historic hotel that has been restored to its original elegance - worth the visit just to see the hotel - which is on the harbor. The restaurant is large - and if it is not busy, the service... More

While staying at the Vinoy we enjoyed excellent breakfasts each day. Very fresh fruit, excellent omelets, eggs benedict, etc. Love the big open room too that fills with light in the morning.

If you want OK (not better) food, diner-like rushed service, a cavernous sports-bar atmosphere complete with several TV's, and upper echelon prices, go to Marchand's. If you want a first class meal in the elegant dining room of a grand vintage hotel, undisturbed by TV's airing sports channels, take about an equal sum of $ out to the Maritana Grill... More

We had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant in the beautiful and historic Vinoy Hotel, but were terribly disappointed. The food was only fair, and the service non-existent. I started with their seafood bisque, and it was so salty that it was inedible. I then ordered mussels and had to request a separate bowl to get rid... More

The food was good but not special. I had the rabbit and my wife had the tile fish. It was cooked properly and the fish was fresh but the accompanying vegetables were the stars of the meals. The wine list is extensive, but expensive. The waitress was very helpful. Other reviews indicated that this is an expensive restaurant, but I... More

Our group of 5 had reservations on a Saturday night. We came early for the "1925" special, soup or salad, choice from 4 entres and desserts. We all had the winter squash which was delicious although one of our part thought it was too spicy. Three had corned short ribs and two had chicken oso buco, all very tasty and... More
