There are 2 locations on Sanibel...This is the original. There is also another in Fort Myers. The second Sanibel location is nearer the causeway and more suited for families and large groups. We have been going to the original almost from when it opened and always eat more than I should. Start with a cold draft pitcher, conch chowder, a... More

It's more a wings & seafood place, but the ribs were out of this world! The only downside is the dining area is too small.

We had heard that the original LF up near Captiva was better than the second one on the Periwinkle "strip" in Sanibel, so we stopped there after a cruise from the South Seas Resort marina. The waitress, who was great, told my daughter that the garlic bread was a tasty appetizer. True. For dinner, my two kids (big fans of... More

We immediately got a table on a Friday night (which worried us a bit since the other restaurants looked packed), but Lazy Flamingo did not disappoint. My husband got the fried grouper and I had a grilled grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. We liked the grilled grouper the best. Their tarter sauce is out-of-this-world good. This is coming from someone... More

The food is awesome, the atmosphere is great! We always make several trips to the Flamingo when we are on the island!

We have eaten at both locations and enjoyed the grouper sandwich, the fresh Galveston Bay oysters, the many great beers on tap and in bottles. You cannot go wrong if you enjoy these items and want to sit outdoors in the FL breezes or indoors in cool air conditioned comfort.

After a morning of fishing we decided to stop at the Lazy Flamingo for some lunch. It was 10:45am and they weren't open but they still let us in with a smile on there face an ready to serve us. Food was great; had the great burger and the fries were delicious! Great spot! Can't wait to go back. They... More

Went to both the Lazy Flamingo on Captiva Island and also the Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel Island. The are as similar as night and day.........Restaurant on Sanibel has great food served with a smile and personality..... Restaurant on Captiva is served with attitude (bad!).... Personnel behind the bar act like they are doing you a favor by taking your order.... More

In a society that treasures the glitzy and fabricated, the Lazy Flamingo offers a breath of fresh air. Right off the bridge connecting Sanibel to Captiva, the restaurant is conveniently located for travel to the smaller island. The atmosphere isn't stodgy, offering a classic pub-like ambiance. The chicken wings are fantastic, and the conch chowder is quite tasty. One ubiquitous... More

Staff was very friendly and likeable. Nice, casual place with good drink selection and good food. They have a raw bar.
