We ate here for the first time this May during our annual trip to Siesta Key. It was Friday night and they had a young man singing which was not bad, it was not too loud as to make conversation impossible. We had a great server who was very attentive even though it was busy. I ordered the Friday night... More

my fiance saw this restaurant come highly recommended on here, so we decided to check it out. hostess asked us if we wanted to sit in or out, we decided that while we did like the live reggar music it was a bit loud. we went inside and sat in full view of many of the staff including the bartender... I don't think you can pay a restaurant a bigger compliment than choosing to return the night after your first meal there. That is what we did. Yes, this is a barbecue joint, but the menu is eclectic and interesting, and the kitchen backs it up with outstanding food. I had barbecue the first night and a personal pizza the... More

We ate here twice - the first time as a couple and the second time there was 13 of us after our daughters wedding on Siesta key beach. They were so accomodating as we changed the reservation time 4 times due to the wedding time changing due to the rain! They could not have been more helpful. The food was... More

Stopped here on my way to the airport after a mini vacation in Siesta Key. I got the sample platter appetizer with chicken, brisket, and pork with a side of veggies. Everything was hot when served. All of the meats were tender and deliciously flavored from the smoke. They offer 3 sauces at each table. My favorite was the original... More

Do not be fooled by the good smell of the smoker. The ribs came out completely burnt, hard, and charred and basically inedible. I had tuna which tasted old and poor quality. They put the sauce on top of the fish, even though I asked for it on the side. The sauce wasn't good, so it ruined the meal. The... More

Maine lobster special looked like a good deal but the lobster was obviously frozen and pre-cooked. Lobster meat was mushy and tasted old. Not a taste treat like I was expecting.

We were looking for a lunch spot on a trip this weekend to Siesta Key. Lots of options and just as we turned the corner, there was a pig on the grill right in front of the restaurant. Being a fan of all BBQ, especially suckling pig, we decided to give Blue-Q a shot. What an amazing accident! The restaurant... More

Chicken wings were great. Unusual and delicious. Pork ribs and burger both very average. Decent sized drinks. No offense to little babies but we were surrounded by infants. Not first choice on couples night out! Would maybe return for outdoor seating by the music for drinks and apps. Headed back over to SKOB after for a more upbeat adult atmosphere.

We stumbled upon the Blu Que Grill one night in the village and are we glad we did! This was our best evening in Siesta Key, from the excellent food to the entertainment and service. I had fabulous Maryland crabcakes and my daughter had the cedar plank salmon, both done to perfection. The atmosphere was Caribbean-island-like yet sophisticated at the... More
