I am not sure why the Crow's nest is number 11 in Venice, but likely since it has the pub and upstairs where we had dinner before moving to the jettys for a sunset. More about that later. Dinner upstairs was the best in our Florida trip and of course the very best view since it sits in the marina... More

We went with friends and heard about what a great restaurant the crow's nest is. It's location directly on the coastal inlet is great. Inside was busy. The decor was standard "wholesale for nautical restaurant" issue. The waiters were of the pushy but slightly snooty variety. The food matched the service and the decor: pretensious, soulless stuff justifying the higher... More

Location, location... true, for sure. I first came across this place by sheer accident, as I was exploring Venice (Florida) and chasing a sunset to photograph. What I did was park near the Crow's Nest and explore the nearby jetty, with its many Pelicans and other water birds, boats, fishermen, and (you'll see if you take a video with sound)... More

I have visited here 3 different occassions--dined in lower tavern area ( a little dark), outside upper deck area for cocktails ( disappointed could not have food out here) and upstairs dining room. Food & Service was great all times. Salmon was excellent and at our servers recommendation, we tried the brussel sprouts ( plenty to share)---great choice. We never... More

This past week while in Florida I had to have dinner at the crows nest (as my first time was so good) the view here is great if u can get a spot close to the window. Basically the food here is excellent, the crab cakes are top notch so is the salmon and Gunther gable steak. (okay so everything... More

Had lunch there with my son. Unfortunately the deck area was a wait so we sat inside, upstairs. They also have a nice downstairs pub. He ordered their grilled cheese which was delicious...it includes sopresatta and other yummy things. I had the fish sandwich which was very good and HUGE. I would go back again.

I had the BBB Burger. It was dry and tasteless. The sliced tomato`s looked a week old. Everthing seemed cooked without caring. My wife had the BB pork sliders. The pickle overshadowed the pork. The atmosphere is wonderful, but the food dose not match up. I would not go back!

I have been here now a number of times for lunch in the past 6 weeks. If you go for lunch and don't have reservations be sure to arrive at 11:30 promptly for good views of the marina. I have tried a few different seafood entrees, sandwiches and salad, never disappointed! Love the cheese grits too. Give the key lime... More

Had dinner here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. A busy, bustling place, but they took good care of us. Some of us had the Stone Crab claws and loved them. One had the Bouillabaisse and said it was the best he had ever had. I had the Grilled Grouper and it was OK. Johnathan took great care of us... More
