Great food. Great view. The wait help is very informed on the are and can give tips on places to visit. Nice place to sit and relax after a day of touring.

We had a most wonderful dinner at the Darien River House Restaurant. A real find in this small town on the Georgia coast! All the rooms of the restaurant are unique, too. We enjoyed having a relaxing evening with everything prepared to order. A great time to re-connect and not be rushed! Cheers to the chef!

Easter Sunday brunch. $30/each. Chives included ham, roast beef, roast lamb, crab stuffed grouper, mashed potato, sausage, biscuit and gravy, scrambled egg, assorted vegetables and tea and desert. Old house ambience. Attentive service. Mimosa was $7. As my uncle says for his regular prayer, "good potatoes, good meat, good Lord, let's eat!"

Having eaten here several times it is (my ever so humble) opinion that this restaurant is truly one of the gems of the South. The shrimp are locally caught and Chef Eric can find things to do with them that dazzle the taste buds! Great atmosphere, great service and exceptional menu!

Darien River House is located in an historic house in historic Darien, Georgia. I had the shrimp and grits which were excellent and there were many choices on the menu which looked equally appetizing. There is a small, friendly staff and quiet relaxed atmosphere. I am looking forward to going back.

Darien River House is an anomaly in the region because almost nothing on the menu is fried. The chef is original and puts together interesting combinations. The restaurant is small and service is personalised. The chef is accommodating and willing to work with some having food sensitivities. You need to plan because the restaurant is only open Wednesday to Saturday.... More
