No need to travel to Spain if you want traditional wines, cheeses and hams from Basque country. The Basque Market will fill your needs.
Interesting market. Did not eat there but purchased several bottles of wine after testing. Wines were excellent, from Sosin, and very reasonably priced.
Not only are the folks working at Basque Market very friendly, so were the other people we met there, locals who have this place on their regular rotation. As was our experience with everyone we met in Boise, they were welcoming and eager to encourage us to explore their city with suggestions for what not to miss. On that note,... More
We'd heard about the paella nights at the Basque Market, so we went to give it a try. We started out with a few tapas which my husband worried about since some of them had been sitting out for a while. Others were hot and/or made to order. The wines being served are hit or miss. They do give you... More

While on a trip with a large group of friends, we dined at The Basque Market and found the experience to be tremendous, even close to sensational. We all had the freshly prepared paella and it was to die for! The flavors were excellently intertwined and produced a most flavorful experience. And then the white sangria........a most excellent drink to... More

My husband and I were lucky enough to try the paella last Thursday. For a $13 dinner we received the delicious paella, three tapas, salad, and a roll. The market has a small outdoor and a small indoor seating area, which were very cute. My husband usually refuses shellfish but was able to easily share that part with me!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We'er so happy that you found our atmosphere inviting and that we could get your husband to eat some shellfish ;) More
While this is a small market, the food prepared and served here is so delicious and unusual. Check their schedule to be sure you get there when tapas are being served. Monday - Saturday from 12 - 3 as well as Tue., Thur. and Fri. from 4 - 8 p.m. The staff are friendly, and happy to explain everything about... More

Everywhere you look Spain is now the food mecca. This place can go from good to great. They need more products from Spain. They need to get Jamon Iberico,Beans from northern Spain,(best beans ever),Albarino and sherry wines, better selection of olives and oil. IF this place had the products of DESPANA in NYC it would make alot of people happy
Good to hear that you think we have potential for greatness! But we're sad to hear that you didn't find our Jamon Iberico, sherry wines, and Alberino because we do keep those in stock. Next time you're back we'll make sure one of our helpful staff can point them out to you. Thank you for taking the time to write... More
My friends and I stopped for a glass of wine on the patio. The wine was very good and they offered a variety. I was nicely surprised that we got there during happy hour so the wine was only $4 for a nice sized glass of good red wine! We sat on the patio and enjoyed talking and people watching.... More

I expected a large market where you could buy and sample basque foods and products. This was more of a room which a wall of products. There were tapas available for sale that looked delicious although I didn't purchase any.
