Service was excellent and the food was good especially the St. Louis barbecue ribs but I thought for barbecue, it was a little expensive. The corn bread is outstanding!

We had an after graduation early dinner here. The restaurant is interesting in that it was a home that has been remodeled into a restaurant. They offer valet parking which is nice since street parking is very limited. The $13 cost was a bit high. The server was informative and pleasant and attentive. Since we were there before regular dinner... More

I only went to Chicago Q since it was on the restaurant list at my hotel. I had no idea what to expect. The waitstaff brought out pickles and chips. Now, I'm not a pickle or a chip person, but these were delicious. Spicy potato chips with a kick, bread and butter pickles with a sour/sweet thing going on. I... More

When we lived in northern Virginia, there was a branch of the "Red Hot & Blue" chain of barbecue restaurants, and one of their slogans was something like "The Best BBQ You Can Get in a Building That Isn't Already Condemned." The point is that many of us barbecue lovers are used to, and even come to expect, barbecue served... More

Stopped in for lunch recently. Very busy place...sat at bar. Bartender very efficient. Had the St Louis ribs with the 4 sauces. To each their own. Ribs were excellent. Dessert was avoided (for once) as the guy next to me had the carrot cake which was the size of a puppy. After a plate of ribs plus wine there was... More

Food was decent but nothing amazing. Pulled pork was dry. Really though, the pinnacle of disappointment was the service. The staff was very attentive but to the extreme! They stood in a line watching the tables which made for a disconcerting dining experience. I have never experienced a restaurant where the service went overboard! We were there early so maybe... I ate here originally at the advice of a friend... great salad! Love the vibe, very home like in the city. It's located in Gold Coast Neighborhood. The chips they serve as a precursor to your meal are amazing. Buy the pig powder (the seasoning on the chips), it's amazing to cook on anything and especially on potatoes. I am... More

Visited Chicago Q last weekend and was a bit disappointed with the bbq. The brisket was good but nowhere near the best I've had. On the plus side, all of the sides were very good- especially the mac and cheese- and the wait staff was excellent.

This is a fantastic place to eat ribs. The restaurant is very large and has few separate dining spaces. We were seated on the second level and had a nice view of the place. Before we even had a chance to look on the menu we were served with house made chips and pickles. Both were delicious and we soon... More

Came here while on a business trip. We had very good service. The food was very good. Don't remember what appetizers we got. For dinner most everyone in the group got the beef brisket platter or pulled pork platter. It was very tender and juicy. The serving size was huge. I am a big eater and was stuffed. For the... More
