I am sorry to say that they closed this location for now. Hopefully they won't leave the Peoria area. They are to good for that.
I am a fan of Candlelight of Sterling, Rock Falls, and Clinton, IA. Found that the Peoria restaurant is equally as delicious!! Doesn't have the fantastic view of the Mississippi that the Clinton restaurant has but the "Chicken George" chicken strips are just as good as they are in the other restaurants. The "Jan's" sauce dipping sauce is wonderful. Service... More
Six of us met at the Candlelight Inn yesterday for lunch. One of the ladies chose it because she has eaten many times at the Candlelight Inn in Rock Falls. Three ladies ordered the Chicken George Appetizer and two of us ordered the Chicken George lunch which included two sides. The other lady ordered the soup and sandwich. She got... More
We don't eat alot of fried stuff, but, on this evening, decided to binge- Chicken George was excellent. Wait staff, and Service were top notch. Nice experiene- Will definitely return.

First, the salad and cucumber dressing was very good. The greens were fresh and the amount of dressing was just right. The salad also came with a... More
Husband and I drove around Peoria searching for somewhere for dinner and ended up at Candlelight Inn. We were pleasantly surprised with fantastic cocktails, delicious dinner, and attentive service (especially by the manager). We sat in the bar area and our seats were really comfortable. This is a place we will recommend and return again.
If you enjoy average mid-America food then this is your place. And if you're in the bar you'll be exposed to two really rude, unfriendly bartenders! Not going back!
Visited Candlelight Inn in May for the first time. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our party...my wife, daughter, son in-law and our two grandsons. The ladies each ordered salmon while my son in-law and I ordered steaks....medium well and medium respectively. Took about 45 minutes for the food to arrive but we tried to keep ourselves busy... Although the service was slow, the meal was very tasty! There were few diners when we arrived so we were surprised at the slow service.
This is my grandmas, to go spot. So on a Saturday we went. And that was a huge mistake. First, it was beyond busy, and their is no place to accommodate the large amount of waiting paying customers, second they changed their seasons and now there is a strong chili taste. When we approached the manager, he seemed astonished we... More
