In a word, excellent. I was searching for a meal that wasn't meat, potatoes, and canned tomato sauce, which is kind of difficult for someone to find who's not from the area (I'm from NJ). This place is hidden in a strip mall behind a Hooters, but everyone should hear about it! The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Most... More

My first time at this restaurant. I read the reviews and had to try. It was delicious and very flavorful. The service was perfect. Will go back again soon.

Upon walking in the door the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The service is prompt and friendly. Our food came out fast and was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I probably could have had enough leftovers for two lunches if I hadnt been so hungry! Next time we will do the platter with three meats and other yummies! This time I had carne asada... More

Great opportunity to try a new ethnic cuisine for many people! The lunch buffet and guidance from the friendly staff make for an easy introduction to this cuisine. The menu offers some great items and it is fun to go with friends and share, so you can sample more variety. The chef makes a variety of ceviche (marinated fish or... More

I always look for different ethnic restaurants when I travel. I never expected to find a great Ecuadorian restaurant in the Midwest. The meal was great. The server was personable. I learned a little bit about the history of the restaurant. The prices were reasonable. I would go back if I lived in Des Moines.

We read about this place in the Des Moines Register, and found ourselves in the neighborhood when our favorite restaurant was too busy. What a wonderful surprise...from the appetizer of potato pancakes stuffed with cheese, flavored with annatto, and covered with peanut sauce, served with a fresh made green sauce, to the entrees garnished with fried plantains and fresh avocado... The appetizer Llapingachos - delicate potato, onion and cheese croquets in a peanut/cilantro sauce - simply heavenly taste and texture. Also had the Hornado on ciabatta bread. I've rarely had pulled and seasoned pork that is so moist and tender, with a nice little salad mix and mayo to round it off - do yourself a flavor and order a... More

New to Ecuadorian food and was impressed by the attention to detail. Three types of empanadas to choose from and server was great and offered provide all three for us to try. Everyone was happy with their food, especially my six year old who ordered hornado with rice and beans. The server was very helpful by offering to answer all... More
