If you like seafood, and if you're in New Iberville, LA, you MUST go to the Seafood Connection. What a great restaurant. Prices were amazing considering the size and taste of the food. Jo and Charles of the Estorge-Norton House Bed and Breakfast clued us in on this restaurant. Thanks!

I've been going to Seafood Connection for years, and I often send out-of-towners there if they are looking for real Cajun cuisine in a non-touristy locale. The place is admittedly a hole-in-the-wall, but to some people (including me) this is a positive, not a negative. It's an ugly little cinder block building; the bathrooms are located around the side of... More

This review is for the Seafood Connection II, the smaller place on Center Street. We were hungry for boiled seafood but since it was so early in the day we settled for crawfish etouffet. First of all, this is a "walk up to the counter and order food, sit down, they bring it to you" kind of place. We knew... More

Walking into this location of the Seafood Connection you feel like you're about to dine in somebody's garage. It was recommended by the counter lady at our hotel, she said that some of the higher end places were trading on their reputations, but at this place, they rarely missed on the food. I really liked it -- loved the seafood... More

I've been to Seafood Connection a few times a year for the last +10 years, but I'll be hard-pressed to return since my last visit. The parking lot smelled of seafood gone bad. (Strike 1) Their gumbo is horrible, and I'm a local. They should know better... (Strike 2) The service was terrible. Maybe we caught her on a bad... More

Ate the seafood gumbo minus the oysters and waited almost 45 mins. They had to take out the gumbo which was in a ziplock bag & heated it in a rice cooker. The gumbo was good. We also tried the shrimp balls (I think that's the name of those things..LOL) and they were really good!.

I visited Seafood Connection one Saturday night and fell in love with the Shrimp Balls (which is an appetizer on the menu). I enjoyed also the Gumbo and the fried Shrimp was good also. I agree with the other reviews when I say the food is great, but the building is old and needs to be re-done. I had to... More

This is nothing like you'd expect. We got there and the place was packed but we got a seat immediately. Its almost like you are eating in an old warehouse. We had the crawfish and steamed crabs. Beyond expectations! Amazing!

The seafood is excellent but the service is poor. I believe that is due to lack of staff on the night we dined in.

There's not much open on Sunday night in New Iberia, but Seafood Connection is! We were able to get ample seafood takeout to eat at our hotel while watching the Saints game, We loved the seafood platter, 20 big shrimp and fries and the shrimp poor boy. We phoned in our order and picked it up at the drive thru... More
