Stopped by after seeing the sign off Rt 1 and remembered hearing about their steamed hot dogs. I had a special and the loaded. Both were good but I would choose the special if I had to choose. Small shack with limited stool seating at counter, lines can be 45 minutes in peak season, and plenty of locals. Well worth... More

Flo's is a tiny spot that serves only hot dogs but well worth a stop. The hot dogs are made only after you order them (the question is how many?) and they have a nice "snap" from the casing; they are served steamed and in lovely steamed buns but what makes them unique is Flo's relish, a sweet but zippy... Just had my first Flo's hotdog and am now a believer. The hype is all true. The dogs are delicious and unlike any other dogs. Flo's special relish sets them apart. Don't miss a chance to stop at Flo's when you're in Southern Maine.

You can't drive on Rt. 1 in Southern Maine and NOT stop at Flo's Dogs. Get the special if you want to blend in with the locals, but all choices are great. And whatever you do....NO KETCHUP!!!

As a hotdog virtuoso, Flo's dogs stand right there with the best. And I lucked out . . . weather outside was frigid and the line was short. Both the "Special" and the "Loaded" were great and took home a jar of the special relish. Love to see businesses specialize in what they do best . . . in Flo's... More

I went to Flo's while passing by on a cold winter day, so I didn't realize that it was such a popular place. But even without the long lines of summer to inform me, the food stood on it's own merit. As others have said, it's a tiny, charming business with an awesome secret relish recipe. There's often a cat... More

Well, this place is amazing. The lines in the summer are amazing. You order your dogs - get extra cause they are delicious, and then you wait. There is never a time to go when there is no line but worth waiting for.

We have eaten at Flo's many many times. Too many to count as a matter of fact. It is a small, small place with barely enough room to stand. It does have a small counter space if you want to eat your hotdogs there. If you aren't there for hotdogs don't bother stopping in because that's all they serve. This... More

Every time my family goes to Maine, we stop at Flo's. The steamed hot dogs with special sauce is a taste delight. I always have a can of Moxie with mine. Open year round, closed on Wednesdays, this is a stop is a must. Be prepared for long lines during the peak season.

My husband and I arrived early enough on Saturday to place our order AND sit at the counter. We're "from away" and enjoy taking in the accents, friendly locals, hot dogs w/ special sauce like no one else's. Can't wait for our next visit to Maine. This place really hits the spot!!
