We went here on our one night in Ogunquit. The food was very good and the price on the lobster couldn't be beat for $10! The ribeye steak sandwhich was delicious and the steamers were well cleaned. My husband had questions about the different beers that they offered and our waitress immediately went to fetch the brewmaster to explain the... More

Pub like atmosphere with good service and great food. Lots of choices here, something for everyone. They change the menu fall and spring, so you have all kinds of choices. Lots of 'comfort food'. Delicious Shepards Pie. The service is outstanding with very friendly servers that aren't 'in your face' all the time. Prices are resonable and generous amounts of... More

I was dragged to this restaurant the first time by friends who are more adventurous than I am. It sits in the location of a former Chinese restaurant on Rt. 1 heading south into Ogunquit and nothing on the outside gives any hint of the goodness within! This place is GREAT! They brew their own beer in addition to carrying... More

We love this place for its friendly atmosphere. It just feels like everyone knows everyone else, in a good way! The food is great and the servers, which seem to be primarily a family, are so warm and welcoming. You can sidle up to the bar and get a great beer (the draft selection is fantastic!) or a quality mixed... More

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I enjoyed a quiet night in the middle of winter and one of the coldest days of the year in this area (-11o to +10o) at the Post Road Tavern. They make their own beers right in the next room. They have wonderful Wings (many different styles)(during HappyHour they are 50c a piece), and... More

We visited The Post Road Tavern this past weekend while attending Christmas by the Sea festivities in Ogunquit. I have got to say that our visit to the Tavern was the best part of the weekend. The food is excellent and the family that owns the restaurant are so nice and very, very helpful. Really nice people! They make their... More

We spent one evening here enjoying a vast range of American real ales. The barman really knows his beers & was very chatty. Friendly atmosphere. We came back the next night for a meal which was also good. We found the beer prices high but this was the case throughout New England, not just here.

The Post Road Tavern makes their own beers and hopes to keep growing the selection. They also have a good selection of beers from Europe on draft. They offer pub food but also have some creative selections that will temp you. Try the mac and cheese with lobster for something different. Server knew the food options and gave good descriptions...
