I had the gingerbread pancakes with warm lemon syrup, they are amazing. There are so many different menu items. I travel for my job, and it's a breath if fresh air to find food with a twist.

Showed up around 10am and had to wait about 40 mins-clearly a local favorite. This brunch spot was recommended by the hotel and overall the food is pretty good, nothing amazing. Is it worth the 40 minute wait? Perhaps...if this is the best that Portland has to offer. After staring at an empty table for 20 minutes - we were...

Bintliff's American Cafe offers excelent dining right in the heart of Portland, opposite the main post office. Their menu clearly focuses on healthful foods of all kinds, with lots of choices of salads, omelettes, meat and fish. The nicest part of the restaurant is the quieter second floor. This is my first choice in Portland for a sit-down lunch. One...

My wife and I ate their this past Monday:
The good: the waiter was cordial.
The bad: the corned beef hash was uninspiring. The meat was plentiful and tender, but it lacked any authentic corned beef seasoning flavor, and the raved about potatoes were cold and featureless. The eggs were ordered over medium, and were delivered full cooked and lukewarm....

When my fiancee and I visited the Portland Area, we wanted to try different restaurants for every meal and TripAdvisor suggested Bintliff's American Cafe which came with spectacular ratings. When we arrived and saw a few homeless people standing outside the building and some shady folks walking around in general, we almost decided to pass it by. But then said,...

Friends recently introduced us to their favorite Portland restaurant -- and we agree! We went for brunch on the weekend... it was crowded but well worth the wait. It has a fun, unique atmosphere, fabulous food, friendly waitstaff and reasonable prices! Parking was a bit challenging, but worth it... We will now begin introducing others to our new favorite Portland...
