The staff was friendly and was great at checking in and making sure our drinks kept flowing. When my husband and I were deep in conversation the staff kept an eye on our needs but from a near distance. They seem to know exactly when we needed something without being prompted. The owner and chef stopped by our table to... More

We went this evening for the reopening. Food was excellent and prepared to perfection. Had the pleasure of meeting the new Executive Chef Jeff Burgess. Tuna Tartar was wonderful and so fresh. Clam Fritters a must try.

We visited BIA finally...for the Sunday brunch. The food exceed our expectations..everything was made to order and the portions were exceptional. From the lobster and cheddar omelet to the crab cake eggs bebe..with a real hollandaise sauce! Not the mention the fresh beer..quite a selection. Excellent dining! Can't wait to go for dinner.

I returned to Maine and decided to vist Boon Island in their new location.....I was always a fan of the food, but wanted to see the new digs. We were a party of 5 with a reservation. We were promptly seated and a pleasant waitress immediately attended to us. There were a number of specials as well as some of... More

Great find on Rt. 1 in Wells! My family and I recently had the pleasure of dining there for the Sunday brunch. The lobster and cheddar omelet was over the top! Just the right amount of cheese with a generous portion of tender, perfectly cooked lobster meat. And the side potatoes were delicious! Great service along with the lovely owners... More

This newly renovated restaurant has a lovely new look. the owner's wife oversaw the renovations herself and the results are excellent. The menu is diverse and besides the full bar options there are many beer and ale choices. We have noted many visitors ordering the several tastes of different beer and ale choices and seem to love them. The restaurant... More

Excellent food, excellent service. Always a fun experience The owners - Tina & Phil are always there and treat everyone like family. shark bites with sweet potato fries - great app, or even a meal. Sit at the bar, sit at a table, both enjoyable. Open year round is a plus too. Roy& Deb

I have been visting Wells and eating at the best area restaurants since 1963 and Boone Island Alehouse is simply the best ever! We dined there last night in the midst of a major snowstorm and despite 8" of blinding snow 12/29/12, the place was packed! We were warmly greeted by the owners and were seated next to the fireplace.... More
