Breakfast is a wonderful experience, If I remember correctly, Linen table cloth, nice bright clean atmosphere. Presentation and selections were great. Have never been there for lunch or dinner, but given the opportunity I'd certainly give it a shot. If breakfast is good - Lunch is usually better.

The cream of crab soup is the best I have ever had! Crab cakes are delicious. Very nice atmosphere, but the servers are the best! We stop here every time we drive down to St. Michael's. Wouldn't miss stopping for lunch - even though Chestertown is a bit out of the way - The Lemon Leaf is worth it!

We love to eat at, and recommend, the Lemon Leaf Cafe. JR and his staff are the best - friendly and they cater to your every need. We particularly enjoy the chicken and dumplings at dinner. The new lunch menu is great and we have been enjoying the cheesesteak wrap! Fabulous! At the end of the meal, you must have... More

A friend and I had lunch there on a Saturday, and were thoroughly delighted with the ambiance and friendly staff. Their special that day was fresh crabcake, made on-site. Delicious on a bed of fresh greens, with sauce on the side. Both of us voted this the best crab cake we had ever had on the Eastern Shore, and would... More

I stopped in for lunch while visiting the town on vacation. The small cafe was very busy but the service was still great. I split a sandwich with my husband and there was more than plenty for both of us. The food was very good. The cafe seems to have a large local following. It was also suggested by our... More

My wife and I stopped here for a weekday lunch. The place was pretty much full when we went. The patrons were a broad combination of local business folks, something like the Ladies Auxilliary Club, and ignorant tourists, like myself. And one server. It's not a huge room, but has enought tables to need at least 2-3 servers to take... More

The crab bisque was good as was the lemon meringue pie. Our entrees varied from poor to fair. A steak ordered medium rare came back well done. Vegetables were overcooked. Despite being April the dining room was overly warm. Our server was cordial and gave us a free desert because the steak was overcooked.

I came to Chestertown with an hour to spare so I found a rare place to park right next to The Lemon Tree Cafe. What a surprise!! It was fantastic. The BEST Cream of Crab Bisque I have ever had. The staff was as friendly as can be and when I got my lunch it was exactly as ordered since... More

Homey restaurant with beautifully prepared salads with a softball size crab cake plunked down in the middle. Excellent.

Lemon Leaf is outstanding. Food is brilliant. Huge salads. Excellent crab cakes. AMAZING pulled pork sandwiches. Very down home and unpretentious but really cute comfortable place right on the main drag. Friendly attentive staff. You'll love it.
