The food is good, but I find the prices a bit on the steep side. For my most recent visit, I was invited, so I could enjoy my steak without worrying about the bill. It's a bit of a disappointment, because years ago this place was much more affordable, with essentially the same menu and exactly the same salad bar,... More

The Depot Restaurant is a special occasion place. Prices are high and atmosphere is interesting. However the menu and decor has not changed in 40 years. If you have never been to the Depot and like steaks and sea foods you will enjoy the experience. If you like sameness the Depot is still a good restaurant. However if you have... More

one thing you can count on every time is the freshest salad bar with a variety of vegetables. Another good feature is that you have an option between the regular meal and light meal. Truth of the matter, calling it a light meal is a misnomer. There is plenty of food and like the regular menu comes with sides and... More

We stopped by recently for a drink in the bar area. It has a really cool historic atmosphere. The bartender was friendly and helpful and the martinis were very good. I would like to come back sometime for dinner. The menu looked good, with lots of choices. I want to try the grilled pizza next time!

Went there with friends. We all enjoyed the surf and turf, I had prime rib and scallops. Both were fabulous and perfectly cooked and I paired mine with garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent choice for me. Love the salad bar, it has fresh veggies, bread and cheese. Great for a watching your diet, but helping myself, especially to the bread and... More

Food is solid. Salad bar is awesome. Waitress dropped a glass of wine on one of our party's coat and gave us a card with a number to call for dry cleaning. Still, on of us had to put on a wet coat in winter and while we didn't make a big deal out of it, it would have been... More

Well, thank God we did try it again. This play has a really nice salad bar, fresh bread, and great steak. My steak was cooked beautifully. It's pricey, but definitely worth it on a good night. Our waitress was sub-par but it didn't matter. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will return.

My wife and I dined here courtesy of a gift certificate. We knew they were known for their steaks but we never imagined we would be so thoroughly thrilled with this wonderful restaurant. First, you step inside and feel like you're reliving history. Service was impeccable. At any given time we had as many as three different members of their... More

Tried the bevely Depot with some business associates. We were sold when we saw the menu. Lots of great steaks aged 28 days or more. Beef Wellington on the menu was excellent. The seafood is fresh. The salad bar is great, fresh and all real ingredients such as bacon bits and homemade dressings.

I was skeptical of this place. It seemed like the only people who ate there on a regular business were early bird types. Well, I was wrong. I wouldn't say it's my favorite restaurant, but for pretty darn good classic New England fare, it hit the spot. Now, I'm kind of strange when it comes to clam chowder....I like the... More
