Casual and relaxed atmosphere. If you want good food and don't need a fancy setting, this is that type of place. The night we were there a band was playing and people were dancing. Rib appetizer was very good. Burger looked great. My friend ate every bite. Mac and cheese was tasty. Not the usual elbow pasta either. I had... More

My husband and I have been to this restaurant before and we weren't too happy with the service - the food on the other hand was pretty good. So, we thought it's been awhile - let's try it again. Whoops - this was a mistake! The waiter took his time coming to our table and was pretty grumpy. I asked... More

After driving by this place for years we started to give it a try on a Sunday evening. A few years ago we were going to try it for lunch but the stained carpet right inside the door had us turning around. Foolishly we thought we would give it another go. I wanted to leave as soon as we got... More

I ordered stone grill angus steak. Most tender steak I have ever had. It was fun to cook it myself. The twice baked potato and fresh summer squash were delicious. Kale soup included with meal was very tastey. My husband had the prime rib special, he loved it. I will definitely recommend this place. And we will surely come back... More

May look like a typical American Food bar restaurant, but wide variety menu offers beautifully cooked and interesting choices. Stopped in yesterday for lunch and were delighed by the added lunch specials..chose fish & chips plus a fish-melt sandwich and loved every bite. Portions always generous of good quality food and often has unique and delicious soups. Great overall including... More

We have driven by Jake Rooney's countless times and have never stopped in. We decided to try it with our friends and we were pleasantly surprised. The dining room and bar area is much larger than it looks from the outside. The ambiance, service, food and prices are great. Entertainment and dancing too makes for a fun evening. We will go... More

we decided on Jake Rooney's after the place that we wanted to go to was closed on New Years Day. We had gone here in the summer and had a great experience, so thought that we would try again off season. When we first walked in, it was dark and the dining room definitely needs updating - it wasn't busy... More

Place is extremely dated (think one of the "before" restaurants on Restaurant Impossible). Food tasted ok. Appetizers were all breading. The seafood and meat for the stone cooking came out on the stone so that the scallops stuck. Nothing was seasoned at all so it was just cooked meat and seafood. Bland. Seafood casserole was ok. Or so we thought.... More

Cooking on a hot stone is both fun and yummy and good for you and an unusual option on Cape Cod. The menu is huge.
