All food is made to order. They have healthy selections for all. A very casual place to grab a quick wholsome meal.

Great sandwich and soup place. Tiny and out of the way right in the downtown and no parking.

If you like eating healthy, then this is the lunch spot for you... Just fantastic! Next door is Mandarava where you can get yourself an organic/fresh juice... We very highly recommend the Purple Onion!

Great chili, sandwiches and bowls-- try the chicken lime bowl, with spicy flavor, large chunks of fresh cooked chicken, fresh tomato, etc. Eat in, at tables outside or on the rocks by the fountain. Fresh, best lunch spot in town.

Great place on pedestrian Inn Street, right in the middle of Newburyport. Healthy, delicious... soups especially. Gets crowded at lunchtime, not many seats inside, some outside. People do takeout and eat outdoors. They keep the menu the same because everything is perfect and we all have our favorites. Consistently good for unplanned lunch.

Worth the wait for your food. Healthy, fresh food. REALLY inexpensive! My husband and I eat here for less than $30- including appetizers AND entrees! Absolutely love this restaurant.

I used to work in Newburyport and eating at the purple onion was pretty standard. Their wraps are huge and could probably feed two! The buffalo chicken wrap was a particular favorite. There was enough heat in it! I definitely recommend you try this place for lunch!
